Joe and Sharlotte Owens
Francis Bennett Parker
Hello,
My name is Sharlotte Hampton Owens and I live in Texas. My great grandmother was Nancy Jane Parker Close. I saw that the cemetery photo for Frances is credited to you. Were there any stones still standingt in that cemetery for Francis/Frances or her husband, Edmund/Edmond Parker. I know he died in Oct of 1886 in Green Co. due to his will, but have not been able to find a stone for him.

I would love to correspond with another Parker. I have a photo of Nancy Jane and would love to find one of her parents or siblings. I also have studio photos of her children when they were in late teens, some younger. Looking for someone to trade info and photos with.

Smiling in Texas,
Sharlotte jsowens@mail.com member # 47831839

Hello,

Would you please kindly consider my suggestion that you request a volunteer photographer to take a photograph of Becky's tombstone?

She is Rebecca Humphries McRoberts Ham, the first wife of my great-grandfather Robert Nicholas Ham.

(Our family always spelled the surname with one "m" not two, according to my grandmother--Robert and his second wife Eliza's daughter Annie Belle Ham Garvin. She told me, "Some others spelled it with two "m's" but our family always spell it with one "m".)

I would dearly love to see a photo of Becky's tombstone.

It is said that Robert, also, is buried at Pine Grove.
But there isn't a Find A Grave memorial for him, and I have no proof he is buried there.

Nor do I see a Find A Grave memorial for Robert's second wife, my great-grandmother Elizabeth Jane (Eliza) Swim Ham. I don't yet know where she is buried.

Thank you for your kind consideration of requesting a photo of Becky's grave.

With warm regards,

Cherie J.

Janie Prince -Toy
Florence Prince
Hi Ruth,

Thank you for posting the picture of the doll house that John Wilhoyt Prince built over his little daughter's grave. I had read about the story in a magazine many years ago, and was shocked to learn later that she was my G-g Aunt. What a small world. Finally glad to actually see the picture of the playhouse. John Wilhoyt Prince is my Great Grandfather. After the death of little Florence he moved his family to the Oklahoma territory and participated in a land run there. Thank you again for all the information; much appreciated!

Alice Burns Stamper
I do believe that this is who "great Aunt Alice" is. My grandfather was Roy Burns, a retired electrician, or so I ws told by my cousin Ruth, who was living in Manistique, Michigan. She gave me some pictures of her, (Aunt Alice, she called her) when she was working as a dietician (at the college there?)I know very little about my grandfather's side of the family. I am Mattye Manning Burns grandaughter, Francis's youngest daughter. I saw a picture of Bill Burns, but I'm not sure if that was the same Bill Burns I met in Manistique. Raymond, Ruth, and Bill Burns are second cousins, I believe. I have always called them Aunt and Uncle. Is this their sister?

Elijah Monroe Hogge
Wow!!! Ruth, you have done such an awesome job with the Hogge memorials. Thank you. I am related to Elijah M. Hogge - a 2nd cousin twice removed and I am writing a short biography of him for my own research. Do you happen to have more written info about his career timelines, political activities, and his immediate family? Do you know what happened to his children? Any help would be appreciated. My email address is pzegers@clearwire.net

Samuel McKee Hall @ South Mound
Hello! I was wondering if you could take a picture of a grave in New Castle at South Mound.
I'd like a picture or two of Samuel McKee Hall's grave. He was born in 1868 and died in 1941. Let me know if you're interested- if you have a North Carolina photo request, let me know! (If you see any other graves nearby that seem related, and you feel like taking a picture, don't hesitate to send me some of those too. Feel free to send me any questions.)

Thanks!
William

Prince Cemetery
Ruth, First of all I want to let you what a great job you have done with putting these pictures on this site for those of us that can't be there to do it for ourselves.I do believe there are two (or more) Prince cemeteries. The one you have listed, is not the same cemetery as my Prince relatives on Cherokee Ridge, Lawrence Co. Ky.I've been told about another Prince Cemetery near Yatesville, in Louisa (not the one that was moved). I would love to visit the one I was told about, but I don't know exactly where it is.Please feel free to contact me, I love talking about my ancestors.
