I wanted to let you know that on Sunday June 29th, St John UCC will be hosting Pioneer Day on church grounds from 9:30 to 4:00 including cemetery walks. I'm trying to get as many people with ties to the cemetery to attend. Were are digging deeper into the history of all the graves and need help from those tied to it. I can send you a pdf of the event info if you'd like.

Explanation for edit requests. Marietta (Heath) Witherspoon was first married to Rev. Frederick Witherspoon. Their son Fredrick Witherspoon #14526642 died in the civil war. Marietta 2nd married Isaac Lewis Olmstead. I don't have knowledge of her 1st husband's memorial to link wife and son to him. Her obituary is a bit confusing as to which children were from which marriage.

Hi! Thank you for updating the memorial. While obviously not the happiest of places, at least all 2,189 who are buried there are now at peace.
It was interesting to read about Mr. Mabley and what he was able to do to bring the severely disabled a much greater measure of dignity and a chance to lead a productive life instead of a life chained to a bed or worse. I am hoping to obtain the records for all of the burials and to put them online. They all deserve to be remembered.
I hope and pray that God will bring you peace and happiness in your journey with your child.

The Unknown married to Benjamin Cawood was a woman by the name of Mary "Polly" McNew. She was born 10 APR 1790 in Washington County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Edward McNew and his wife Nancy. Sorry I don't know Nancy's maiden name.
Thank you for all you do for genealogists like me who can not get to Virginia to research.
Do you know the outcome of the trial of the four accused of her murder? Was her husband convicted? She was my husband's GGGG aunt.

I thank you for posting Jimmy's gravesite photo. He left us rather suddenly. I am his uncle, and am interested in writing a bio for your posting. I believe I could get his mom to submit some photos. Please take the time to reply. Thank you, GB 3562.

There appear to be many more markers at this cemetery than the 99 listed on Find A Grave. Do you know if a complete list of those buried here is available? Thanks for any help you can provide!

|Chad||Anna Harmsen # 14665458|
I am working on connecting all parts of my extended family on this site, so I would really appreciate if you could help by making the following additions for my great aunt, Anna Harmsen(# 14665458):
Add Middle Name: Dorothy
Add Maiden Name: Nickels
Birth: Apr 3, 1873 in McHenry, McHenry, Illinois, USA
Death: Apr 27, 1933 in McHenry, McHenry, Illinois, USA
Add family Links:
Father: Karl Nickels (# 14665397)
Mother: Caroline Nickels (# 14665410)
Spouse: Charles Harmsen (# 14665433)
If it's just easier to just transfer the memorial, I'm happy to make the corrections as well. Thanks in advance for all your help!

|Barry Haas||# 15868444|
Found the above record number, with the name (Malle Topper Barron). There is another record for the same person which is much more complete and accurate at 97808052 for (Mabel Topper Barron), which is her correct name.
Would you consider deleting 15868444, since it is a duplicate?

|Chuck Templin||Minutia Jennings Bishop|
Minutia is my 2nd great grand Aunt. (My 2X great grandfather Dardanus Bishop's sister. She is the last of eight known children I am trying to link to their parents (my 3X great grandparents Samuel and Boadicia Bishop). I would be glad to take over the management of Minutia Jennings' Memorial #15053843 as well as her son Charles Jennings Jr.'s Memorial #15053853 if you would transfer them to me.
I was also wondering if you had found any information on Minutia's husband Charles Jennings born about 1803 in England and died between 1850 and 1855 probably in or near Bristol, Kenosha County, Wisconsin.
Thanks for your time and efforts in gathering information.

|C Melton||The Reinking Family|
In doing some research on the Reinking family, I came across your memorials. Although I am not related to this particular clan, I found it quite disheartening that if I was, I would find all of the UNKNOWNS listed, so I went searching and I found the names, dates and places on familysearch.org. They have been sent to you via the EDIT button, along with any family links that I came across. It is so much easier trying to find a family member by the proper linking then having to go back to the listing. Thank you for your time and I do hope, that for the sake of the family members that are looking for their ancestors, that you will apply the updates that I sent to you.
