|Cindy Swift||I'm an Alvey on my mothers side...|
My Great Grandfather was Charles Alvey, and he married Ella Etolah. They had several children, but my grandmother was Dorothy Marie Alvey, born in 1917. She married Joseph Edward Beaven, who lies at rest in in the Union County Cemetary, I believe. They had 2 daughters before he passed away in 1939, Mary Eloise and Martha Helen. I am the firstborn daughter of Martha Helen. My mother married Harry Joseph Bena, and in 1957 I was born. My name at birth was Cynthia Kay Bena. I have a daughter and a son, and 3 grandchildren. We are in the Seattle area, except my son who lives in San Ramon, CA. Dorothy Alvey has 2 sons by a later marriage to Robert Charles Winters. Together they had 2 sons, Charles Carter Winters and Donald Robert Winters. Three of her 4 children are still living, 2 in Seattle and my mother, Martha Helen in Kingman, Az. I would love to hear from you, and get linked to other Alvey and/or Beaven family members. My husband and I will be retiring in a few years, and our goal is to go traveling in search of long lost relations. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Cynthia Swift

|Roxie Davis||Charles Joseph Daniels|
Hello! I am a Daniels by way of my mother Beth, daughter to George Hilton Daniels, son of William Billings Daniels, brother to Charles Joseph Daniels. I'm curious about the information listed here indicating that Charles was born in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. Is that on his headstone or have you come across that elsewhere? Thanks!

I'm new to this whole process of recording genealogy and just ran across your posting. I guess we are related because my maternal grandparents were Ecles Leonard Alvey and Flora Mae Alvey.
Thanks for helping me make another link.

|Shannon Decker||Louivina Ann Alvey|
In addition to my previous message, I have learned that Louivina Ann Alvey was James White's mother. My father is Clifford J. Decker, Jr. and is still alive, living in Radcliff. I have been able to trace this far back and now I am stuck. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for information on Elizabeth Frances Storms.. she would be my great great grandmother on my father's side of the family. She was married to James White and they had many children, one was named Mary Alice White. Mary Alice married John Samuel Decker. I live in Georgia and am at the beginning of researching the Decker history. Any info or pictures would be greatly appreciated. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks in advance!

|Laura Donohoo Mathiews||Elizabeth Alvey|
Bob, If you are interested I have a section of Louisville Times dated November 25, 1963 that has the obituary of Elizabeth Alvey. It is in great condition and I would like to offer it to you instead of getting rid of it. My ggrandmother and grandmother kept several newspapers over the years and I found this as I was cleaning out an old trunk. Please feel free to call me, email me, or leave me a message.

|Nanette White||James A White & Anna White|
Hi Bob & Ann,
I believe that we are related. James A White (#65536974) and Anna Skaggs White(#108462234, are my grandparents. Elizabeth Frances Storms & James T White are my great grandparents. I'm wondering if James T White is also buried in Saint Anthony Cemetery. I believe that my aunt Lorraine White is also buried with her parents(James A & Anna Skaggs White).

|Deborah Clements||Joseph Alvey/Robert Cole connection|
Wow! I was researching St. Alphonsus Cemetery and put in a photo request for the gravesite of Barbara Hagan Clayton - she was a sister to my Gx2 grandmother, Priscilla Hagan Clements.
I read your short bio and was surprised to see the mention of Joseph Alvey indentured to Robert Cole who is one of my ancestors! Small world. The Robert Cole line filters down to my Dant/Payne/Clements lines who settled heavily in the areas around and in Owensboro. Thanks for all you do, and I'm sure you enjoy it all!

|Marilyn Alvey||Hi Bob|
HI Bob or should I say cousin... I talked to you years ago through e-mail. I was the one that gave you info on the Alvey's here in Missouri. Since we last talked my dad has died and joined his father in Beulah cemetary. I sooo thank you for all the help you gave me. I am still working on my tree, but mostly on my Moms side now. I am however still trying to get where my great grandfather Clarence Alvey and grandmother Elizabeth are buried. I know it is somewhere around Peoria, IL. If you have any information on them, I would so much appreciate it. Since finding this site, I have been busy linking family, so if you have any missing links on my family be assured that the ones I have under my management are correct in their information. Thanks again, Marilyn Alvey

I am presently taking photos of all graves in Brookland Gardens. I will get you a photo of the Alvey grave. I am going to delete mine. But please if you ever decide you don't want to do this anymore please send me any graves from Brookland . My son is buried there and my whole family including sisters and their children. My other son and myself will be buried there. I just want to make sure it's taken good care of even on Find A Grave. Thank you, Linda
