I haven't heard anything from you for such a long time ... just wondering how thing were going with you guys? We had a very difficult year here ... don't ever want to repeat that ever. Let's keep in touch. How's your hubby doing?

Love always,

Cora See/Ted Peyton
Hi Daphne. Cora See is my Great Aunt. I have her obit and some data on her family but I didn't know that she had a second marriage. It really was quite a surprise. I was just looking at a picture of her yesterday. Thanks for the very thorough listing on her and for getting the data entered correctly! Cheryl in rainy Oregon

I am related to these three lines that seem to be discussed here and I would really like to chat with someone that can set it all straight for me and ensure I have everything documented that I can. My grandmother was Lenora Dell Peyton, daughter of Leslie Peyton and Mabel Fox. Mabel's parents were David Fox and Louretta Winsor. Leslie's parents were Lewis Clothier Peyton and Lenora Dell Keller (her namesake).

An interesting aside, Lewis Clothier Peyton was seemingly named after a man that served with Absalom Peyton (his father) in the H Co of the 14th infantry during the civil war. I was looking over all unit lists and he served with a man named Lewis Clothier. It seems to be more than a coincidence though I have no info on the nature of their friendship.

I have decent information on these families, but I do not have many (any) pictures of most of them, nor family stories, recipes, or much of anything other than names and dates. I would really like to gather the information while I still can, so that I can include it in a compilation I am working on for my daughter.

I'd love to chat, I live in CR so I am close to all of their graves and have yet to see most of them. I am especially in seeing the old Winsor stones in Marion, as I havent been able to find them.

Please reply here, or find me on facebook, Seth Moomey.

Thank you!!

Seth

I noticed you have Ben in Circle Grove cemetery and the listed obit says Hoover cemetery. Are they one and the same or is this an error?

I have been researching this family for a long time. I'm a direct relative of Anne and William Dudley. But was getting nowhere with youngest daughter Mary. I had no idea she went west with her half brother Fredrick and half sister Harriet. Thank You. Warren

Peyton Line - Troy Mills Area
Are you or is anyone else still researching the Peyton line of Lorenzo Dow Peyton et al? I am a descendant through Lenora>Leslie>Lewis>Absalom>Lorenzo. I have pictures of Absalom and his wife, as well as Lorenzo and his wife. Are there any photos of the rest of them while alive? I believe there use to be another site out there that had pictures of the homes Lorenzo had built, but I am unable to find that either. I can be found on Facebook as Seth Moomey in Cedar Rapids or contact me here. Thank you!

RE: Nelson
Hi Daphane,

My full name is Christiane Verna Lea Fay Tas, but I now just go by Christiane Fay Tas to keep things simple. I am not sure who is on the same lot, but I have a cemetery deed that says they have lot no 23 in Block E and that it is 200 sq feet. Looks like they bought it in 1976. Not sure if that is where they are buried or if that lot was purchased for my brother - he was born in 1972. I don't know if a lot if for one or two people - ? I remember my parents saying that both my brother and I had lots in the cemetery, but never heard much more about it.

I thought it was iteresting that you said the (Von) Diltz were kicked out of Germany - what happened??

Sorry to hear about all of the illness in your family. I will be praying for you.

Best,
Christiane

RE: Diltz and Keller Troy Mills
Hey Daphne, we used to correspond with one another about this family via e-mail, then I never heard from you again! Glad to hear that all seems well with you. I would be very interested in how you are descended from and related to the Diltz's. Prince Edward is my second great grandfather and lived out near you. My grandmother was Vernieta Keller and she was the daughter of Opal Keller and Ruby Williams. She attended school there in Troy Mills after the fire. She had many stories about her time there around Troy Mills. It's funny that you wrote today and I just mentioned you in a letter to Don and LeAnn Keller which I just wrote and sent out earlier today. I mentioned that I had been in contact with you and then hadn't heard from you again. I asked LeAnn if she had ever received any information from you on how we're related and if you had any Diltz photos. I have a photo of Jacob Keller, but none of his wife, and none of his children other than Ephraim. Any information that you have on this family would be much appreciated. Thanks! -Eric E. Durnan

Chuck Hart and Sutherland family
Saw your note on Chuck Hart profile here. He seems to be related to the Sutherlands. Wondered you might also be related to Edmund Dudley Sutherland? He is a distant uncle to me by marriage to Ida Etta Rutherford. They had at least 3 children Harry E., Ernest E. and Evelyn Sutherland. Please let me know. Thanks.
