I finally got to adding the War of 1812 info you sent me some months ago. Thank you for this addition to his biography.

RE: Almony family in Maryland/PA

I'm copying something I sent to you in 2014, to remind you of who I am, followed by more questions.

"Was wondering if you are a descendant of the Almony family? Mary Jane Almony Lowe was my second great grandmother. I will be visiting DC and parts of MD and southern PA next week and hope to look up some Lowe and Almony graves! Daniel Cole, another F. A. G. Member is helping me with finding the
Lowe graves. I noticed how readable your grave photos are. Do you chalk the graves?"

NEW
Have you learned anything new regarding Mary Jane Almony Lowe and her parents? Especially who her father may have been? I am particularly interested in knowing if she were a descendent of a Rev. War Patriot?! I'm a member of a DAR Chapter in NE. I have 1 patriot proven on my paternal grandfather's line and 1 on my maternal grandmother's line. Now I'm investigating my other lines.

You have made great contributions to the Almony family through your research and contributions to Find A Grave. Thank you so much! I can't imagine Mary Jane's mother would have had several children with the last name of Almony had she not been married to an Almony!

I really appreciate the details you provided on Isaac Fowler. Do you have any images of the documents you referenced such as the court document?

RE: Hall Tombstones
You are very welcome. I plan to go back and get the other two, also. The cemetery would only look up a few locations and I didn't realize you had multiple family members or I would have pushed it.

Thank you, Christos! I've spent 9 years researching every person buried at Monocacy Cemetery (all 5,542) and discovering interesting stories about their lives. You should check out our Facebook page... I've posted over 3,000 portraits~!

I found the memorials you created while working on my brother's mother-in-law family tree. Excellent research and stories. She and her daughters from Montgomery Co, Maryland and Reston, VA will be in Huntington this weekend for a large Trent Family Reunion. Of Course, the Beckett's are a large part of that family. I have reformatted your stories and placed them on Ancestry.com, giving you credit for the research, writing, and Photos. Most excellent work. Keep it going. Oh, and by the way, Thank you! I try to do the same for some of my closer family members.

Hello Christou
I just sent you a personal email regarding Col John Stewart McNamara. I forgot to tell you that I have a list of the names in the Denard Johnson Farm Cemetery and am entering them on that location. If you wish any transfers, please let me know.

RE: Bartholomew
Hello, The book I was referring to is just a large binder with the names of the people with headstones from St. Paul's& St. Peter's that was done by volunteers in the 1970's. It is at the Oswego Library with listing from other local cemeteries also. I will check again on George Bartholomew. I don't know where that other person found Mary,s headstone. I looked for quite awhile in the stated section and I didn't see it but I'm glad they did. There were a few Bartholomew's in St. Peter's. Do you need the names of those people?

Beck corrections
Take a look at Mary's entry on Home Farm Cemetery and the citation of the book in which her burial is listed there. I do not have the book and would not know if she was in fact removed to Chester. In what cemetery are James Beck of George, and George R Beck interred? Thanks for your help with Maryland! I am still stuck on the Starts. I did find where Benjamin of Northern CA was actually in the Army; we did not know if he was a civilian medic of some kind as the explanation of the "Doc" nickname. I have tried the American Legion to see if they knew of his burial. Also, I tried to find out if "Andelot Farms" where his father is buried is private property and whether the grave is marked and cared for.

Lonnie L. and Laura Conner
Hi,
Wanted you to know that I transferred both Lonnie & Laura's memorials to you. I did not link him to his parents as I thought you might like to do that. I quickly looked for an obit for him, but didn't find one, but as he was your great grandfather I imagine you have more info on his dates and locations. I am not related, but created a memorial for them when I was posting relations in Blackman cemetery.
Happy Labor Day.

George and Lula States
Hi Christos;
Sorry for the delay in responding, but I have transferred ownership of the memorials for George and Lula States at Crumpton Cemetery to you as requested. My wife is somewhat distantly related to them (they are in-laws of a first cousin 2X removed) so I am happy to transfer these to your care as you are more directly related. Thanks for the updates you have provided in the past. Were you aware that their son George W Jr and his wife Sally Morris had a son George Henry States who just passed away this last Monday? The Obituary was in the Kent County News. Thanks again. Steve Keefe

I am transferring her memorial to you. I am not related to her and hope that others will find their past loved ones as you have. I could only wish I was related to a 1/4 of the individuals I have submitted to Find A Grave..LOL. Should you find others please let me know and I will transfer them to you as well.

re: Andreas Holl
Whoops, I meant to say, shouldn't Andreas's memorial be kept as it is? He died in 1816 at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 16 days, so he must have been born in 1754. If he was born in 1764, he would have been 10 years younger at his death.

Christopher Mutchner
Thank you, Christos, I added the information you sent. I did not know that Christopher Mutchner had signed that oath of allegiance.

Some of the Slades from Maryland ended up moving to Ohio near where some of the Mutchners moved; not sure if you already knew that. I guess the families must have been close friends.

Keep in touch! :) Mary

Christopher Mutchner
Hello, I received your message regarding Christopher Mutchner. I would prefer to continue to manager the memorial myself as I am also a direct descendant. However, should I ever decide to leave Findagrave, I will make sure you receive the memorial. I'll also add whatever it is you would like added.

I'd be very interested to hear your additional information. I have several pages from the Historical Society of Baltimore on the Mutchners--have you seen those? If not, I can scan them and e-mail them to you.

Sincerely, Mary

C.F and Mary Meyers
I was going to claim your requests for the Meyers but you already have pictures for the two. Do you want me to get another picture of them? Also the request for Mary Meyers that only has a death date is the same as the Mary Meyers with a birth and death date.

Thanks,

Jim

I can't get out to photograph Mrs. Casler's stone (if she has one) but below is the entry from the cemetery ledger for her burial:

Casler, Martha E., age 79, widow, died Sept. 25, 1922 at 325 E. 5th of chronic nephritis; buried Sept. 26 in Lot 71, Block 10

Sarah Cuddy
I went thru the Wesley Chapel Cemetery today, and there are only two "Cuddy" markers. One is for Elihu & Catherine Cuddy, and the other one has no name on it at all. I'm assuming that this is the correct one for Sarah, as the other marker is a lot older. I took pictures of the other marker in case you needed it also.
