Robert Hurley Harrison
Hi,
I am the great granddaughter of Robert Hurley Harrison. I was wondering if you might consider transferring this memorial to me.......

My grandfather, Robert Wayne, isn't listed as a child, and I have other photos I could add to this memorial.

Thanks for your consideration,
Michele Harrison West

Mangus Mayes
George, I just realized that I've been emailing Linda for a few months, exchanging family information. I didn't connect the two of you at first.

RE: Mangus Jolly Mayes
I am related to the Mangus Mayes who was son of Dan (Jasper Alexander) Mayes and Lucy Johnson. He was my grandmother's cousin. I added the picture to his Find A Grave memorial. I do have the original with two more of his cousins, Euell and Travis. (I'm surprised someone didn't get hurt in that picture!) I've been trying to locate Travis's family as I have a baby portrait of him that I can return.

Milton A. Stephens
Foreman cemetery
Hi George ----- I sent you an e-mail answering your reply for the directions to the cemetery, but got a message saying my e-mail to you could not be delivered. Not sure what happened there, but thanks for the information concerning directions to the cemetery. When time permits, will visit your area again. I'll send my original msg to you again and see what happens.

Will be interesting to see how the Foreman families are connected. I have Starr's "History of the Cherokee Indians", and I continue to make corrections & notations all the time. Johnson Foreman was a half-brother to my great great grandmother, Malinda Wilson (Collins)(Young). His daughter, Susan Frances Foreman (Raymond)(Lynch) is buried there in Webbers Falls in the Vann-Lynch cemetery.

Thanks again for your help.

Milton

William Franklin Miller
Hello, I am just curious if the last name is a coincidence or if you happen to be related to William? He is my biological Grandfather I never met and no one really talked about him so it was so shocking to find him and with a picture as well!

Milton A. Stephens
Foreman cemetery
Hi George,

Could you give me directions to the Foreman cemetery that is supposed to be about 2 miles n.w. of Webbers Falls?

I am related to the Foreman's buried in that cemetery, namely Johnson Foreman, who was a half-brother to my great great grandmother Malinda Wilson Collins Young. Malinda and her siblings parents were George Wilson and Ruth Drumgoole. Ruth's first marriage was to John Foreman and their only child was Johnson Foreman. They are listed in Starr's "History of the Cherokee Indians".

I would like to take some pictures of gravestones to post on their memorials.

Thanks for your support with Find a Grave.

Regards, Milton A. Stephens

I am not sure. I have a Benjamin Dewey Wicks as son of John Austin Wicks, Jr., but he was born in 1897.

I am certain this is the grave site of the children of John Austin Wicks, and his 3rd wife, Ada Brown, of Braggs, OK. John Austin is my great-grand uncle. His mother, my great-great grandmother, was a Choctaw Indian from Mississippi.

Here is a link to information about John Austin, in which it mentions they had lost two children. I have records of them having a total of 7 children, but have dates for only 4 of them.

Loretta (Willis) Rainey-Fones
Mattie Tunison # 17987723
George, I see that you have made a memorial for Mattie Tunison, wife of Abner. Would you have any idea where Abner is buried? Maybe in Evergreen as well, although maybe not listed? Abner was one of the husbands of my paternal great aunt, Maude (Fox), born in Ellington, MO. She first married Ephriam Barnes, and was also married to Abner Tunison and Walter Fuqua. Thanks, "Each Day Counts", Loretta

Ella in Pope Chapel
I am confused about this memorial. I thought it was a different memorial so I added my grandmother in Pope Chapel. I did not see that they must be the same one. Then I found where my nephew's wife had already added one too of the same person. Please let me know if this is the same one so I can remove mine.Thank you

Ed & Sue Anderson
Doshier Memorials in South Bethel
George,
Thank you for the transfer of the memorials but especially thank you for marking the graves of strangers so they would not be lost. Sue and I have photographed in many cemeteries from Texas and Oklahoma to Virginia and Ohio. Occasionally we see where a group or an individual has put forth an extra effort to mark a number of graves. While walking thru South Bethel we saw that a good number of graves had ben so marked and realize that each represented a special effort on your part. So on behalf of all the Doshier cousins--Thank You.

Bell Thompson. Do you have any info on this person? I see that you are the President of the Webbers Falls Historical Society, & the Nora "Bell" Thompson I'm looking for, her Mother Malinda "Linnie" Sheppard-Thompson was listed on the "1894-96 O.S. payroll: Webber's Falls, page 213, 215." (I think this is her Mother: Memorial# 6560395).

re: 2 Stevens listings
Hello. You have 2 people in my Stevens family listed as being buried in South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK, but they aren't buried there. They are buried in Citizens Cem., in Fort Gibson, OK. Preston Stevens 5647359 & Rosey Stevens 5647361. They were 2 of the children of Noble Stevens & Alice (Milam) Stevens. They died as children and are buried in Fort Gibson, near their parents. I don't know how, but several years ago I noticed that someone had posted many in our Stevens and related families as being buried in Braggs, that are really buried in Fort Gibson, including my grandparents, etc. We do have relatives buried in the Braggs Cem., but these 2 children are not buried there. They are buried at Citizens Cem. and have markers.
