Ruth Coltson - #117636745
Hi, Jeff, your memorial for Ruth is a dupe. Please see #42539249. Can you move your photo for her grave marker to the older memorial? Thanks!

RE: Charles Mann
Thanks so much for your response!

Okay, the Charles Mann that I am looking for was born in Russia, lived in South Carolina during his youth, and then it seems probable he moved to another state (possibly Ohio). His parents were named Daniel and Agnes. So this isn't a match.

Regardless, thank you for that information! Even though it's not my Charles Mann, it does help me to narrow down the possibilities! Thanks again! Best wishes!

Charles Mann

I am looking for information about one of my ancestors, who might match one of the memorials you manage. Do you know where Charles Mann was born or who his parents were (#10693674)? Thank you!

I couldn't get a very good scan of this and had to put it into separate pieces as my scanner is a cheap scanner. I am emailing it to you and maybe you can get it the way you would like it. If you need anything else, let me know

RE: Charles Hinkle
On the Royalton, the whole scrapbook is of Royalton, New york so assumed it was new York but it could be incorrect. I will scan it and get it to you sometime today.

Charles Hinkle
I noticed that you are related to this man and I found a newspaper article about his death and it is a very impressive piece about him. It was found in a old 1800's scrapbook. A Thomas Richardson wrote the articl in tribute to him. The only thing is that it does not give the source but this is too good to pass up on. MUCH info about him. I will be glad to share a scan of it

Bryan Anderson
Charles L Mann

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, 89th Division, Charles L Mann was also a member of this unit and once lived in Downsville, Louisiana.

On the Findagrave memorial, it is mentioned this individual served in WWI. Might you know any more details other than this? More specifically, do you know whether he might have served in the unit I mention above? Any help would be appreciated.

His Findagrave number is 10709201.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for all the hours you volunteer to search out gravesites, take focused, clear & readable pictures of gravestones & upload them to Find A Grave...

It is truly appreciated...especially to the families that are searching for clues to their "roots"...

Good job & happy hunting...

Nancy Rains
Thank you for posting the grave site of my sister, Nancy. I would like to add my parents, myself and brother as relatives. There are two other graves (unmarked) next to her that have my other two sisters. I have become a member and hope you will transfer her grave to me. I'm still learning how to navigate the site. Thank you, Susan (Rains) Richardson

Follow up question
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the help. I didn't have any luck with the pictures but I guess it's not that big of a problem. You raised an interesting idea of contacting Find a Grave. Can you tell me how that is done? "Superkentman" who manages well over 50K memorials died in 2012 and I'd like to see about taking over a number of Bromley and Brumley memorials which he managed.
Sorry for hitting the enter key and sending messages I haven't completed yet.
Thank you again

Questions Please
Hi Jeff,
I'd like to ask for your help in answering two questions please.
1. In the memorial for James Bromley #26034985, I need to remove the pictures that are there added from Maureen Keillor. It is my fault but the only pictures that apply to this memorial are the one showing his parents headstone that he is buried next to and the cemetery name picture. I manage this memorial and the mistake is mine.
Can you tell me the process to remove photos from a memorial?
2. I've read that under the edit tab you can request a transfer of a memorial to yourself but I don't see any provision for this. Can you please tell me how to do this? I've left a message requesting my grandparents be transferred to me but nothing has ever happened.
Thank you very much as always
Jess Bromley

RE: Thelma Peebles Mann
Robert PEEBLES and Martha (FORBUSH) PEEBLES are my connection to Thelma Marie (PEEBLES) MANN. It is a very long line to both her and I. I have a lot of information on the PEEBLES going back to their landing in MA in 1718 from North Ireland.

RE: Thelma Peebles Mann
Thanks Jeff,

My project is adding the Find A Grave memorials to my Family Tree Maker, just the numbers and burial places for now. I have a lot of people to ask about sharing photos as I think it is only fair to give them credit for taking them. Likewise if you would like any information I may have ask away. How are you related to the family?

Best Regards,

Mark Peebles
