Re: Photo request for Jane Barnard (1843) at Mt Hope...
William,

I think I can clear up the mystery of the two Jane Barnard's at the two different cemeteries: The memorial for Mt Hope Cemetery was created from the Mt Hope Interment Records with a record date of March 14, 1843...You can see the entry online here: http://www.lib.rochester.edu/IN/RBSCP/Databases/IMAGES/MtHope/disc1/00000017.pdf

The King's Landing Cemetery memorial (with a death date of March 13, 1843) was probably created from this actual survey of the gravestones in the cemetery: http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/hanford.htm

During that time period, the Mt Hope records apparently served as a clearinghouse for all burials (deaths?) in Rochester, including ones that were buried in other cemeteries. [See mention of this here: http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/st-pat.htm ] In fact, the entry in the Mt Hope Interment Records for the burial location for Jane Barnard says "Greece", which presumably means the Town of Greece. (That cemetery now is in the City of Rochester, but I would not be surprised if that land was at the time in the Town of Greece, as the City gradually incorporated land that was originally in surrounding towns. We live in Rochester but in a part that was in the Town of Brighton until something like the 1870s.)

So, to make a long story short, I believe that her gravestone would be found in King's Landing Cemetery and it makes sense to request a photo from there. (By the way, there is an age discrepancy between what the survey records as her age, 43, and what the Mt Hope Interment Records record, 49, but I wouldn't make too much of this as neither one is infallible.)

Hi,

Why do you have Kenneth Gilleland's death date as Feb. 13, 1992 when his tombstone says Feb 2, 2007?

Fink Family
Hello again,
I wanted to say thank you one more time for transferring these to me. Also...yes, you should be able to add photos after the transfer, so if that is easiest for you, I'm good with that.

Would you be willing to pass along my email address to Ken or Gina Fink? I would love to talk to one of them. I don't know a lot about their family and would love to get in touch with them (I do genealogy).

They can reach me at: tammyjk@cox.net

Thank you so much again for your help!!

Sincerely,
Tammy Kronenberg

If you own the memorial, there should be a blue hyperlink above any photos that says "Transfer Memorial" on it. Just click on that and you should be able to transfer it.

I'd love any of the Fink memorials that you have. That would be awesome. I am sad to say that I never knew them, but my Mom remembers them. Anna was my grandpa's Aunt.

Thank you so much for your consideration!

Sincerely

Hello William,
I was hoping you might transfer the memorial for Anna Rose Fink in Highland Cemetery? She is an Aunt of mine. Thank you for your consideration.

Hall County GA * Friendship Baptist Church Cemeteries
I'm sorry to have to leave a public message about this, but you've ignored all of the emails and SAC's that I (and others) have sent you.

All of the memorials that you've placed in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery #2, that you've described as being for persons buried in "Fraser Plot in lower (older) cemetery", need to be moved to Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery #1.

Photo of Tamar Hoskins Chappel gravesite
To anyone who reads this message. Bill went above and beyond the call of duty on this one. He visited the cemetery looking for her gravestone several times - even had others visit to locate. He did this taking time out while visiting relatives in the area.

I sincerely appreciate all that he has done to get this photo of Tamar's gravesite.

"Thank you" doesn't seem quite adequate.

Thank you and God Bless,

Melissa
