I have found Mr. Freeman, but not in the Leanna Cemetery. According to the sources I have found, his name is James Reuben Freeman and Catharine had him shipped to the Leavenworth National Cemetery where I have now placed a Memorial in his memory.

I have yet been able to find the Mr. Freeman that was married to Catharine Stallcup Buckner.
What is his full name and dates? I have placed the names of Stallcup, Buckner, Jamison and Freeman (whoever he is)

Hi Don. I appreciate your offer to link Mary Jane Smith Johnson to her parents. John Smith #127397732 and Mary Gingrich Smith #127397962. I will happy to take care of them when you decide to transfer. As yet I haven't found where all their children are buried, but hope to eventually get all the family linked together. Thanks again.

Re: Mary Jane Johnson and husband Aaron Johnson #28063654. Thank you so much for creating their memorials. Would you consider transferring them to me OR linking them as husband and wife, and linking Mary Jane (Smith) Johnson to her parents Conrad and Barbery Naus/Knauss Smith. Thank you.

Mr. Fry, thank you so much for adding this photo. We have only distant family in the Chanute area now so we don't get over there very often. The Leanna Cemetery is special to us because so many family members are there. Many Cations. Cation was my father's mother's maiden name. Thank you again.

Just wanted to Thank you Don for taking the time to take the pictures of my Great Great Great Grandparent's headstones at the Leanna Cemetery. I have a photo of John in his Civil War uniform and will need to download it to the site. I already put it on Ancestry.com along with other family photos. I'm also related to the Baird family buried in Leanna Cemetery and in the Chanute Cemeteries. Hopefully by posting these, I can get the attention of other living family members because I have other pictures of both families but don't know who is who since not all are labeled.

We actually walked the whole cemetery and recorded the markers. Now we have all the old record books transcribed and on files. I sure wish we had taken pictures of the markers. We are trying to find a Scout or someone who will do GPS and photos of all the graves.

I have the records on my computer. No one is in the office regularly now. I am going to try to take photos of the burials with markers when the weather gets nicer. I am going to try to update the records also. I am the one who transcribed them into a file in the first place and I am finding many errors.
