McCoy Visit to Girardville on October 15, 2016
Hello: We're Peggy's McCoy cousins. My family will be in Girardville on October 15, 2016 to visit the graves of the McCoys, Roachs, and Leonards who are buried at Old St. Joseph's Cemetery. It would be great if they could meet some Girardville folks. Hope you'll see them at the Hibernian House. God bless Peggy's kind soul.
Love, Colleen McCoy

i like your bio
hi joanne
i like your bio. i too have a goal and that is to connect as many as 4 generations and i can easily do that since i was physically at my local cemeteries and i have the photos for them. I also have a problem with one contributor in particular who thinks it is necessary to beat us all out. He boasts being from one county but skips over a few to get to carbon county. He doesn't realize that this is my neck of the woods and we have several contributors right here in carbon county that for the same reason as me, would like first dibs on people we grew up with, work with, went to school or church with and many are RELATED to us.
If i have any memorials for your territory i will glad to transfer. sometimes i try to be one step ahead of this guy because as you said dates are not completed. if he were here to take pictures of the headstones and or go to their funerals, he would have that information. (i just attended two funerals and tomorrow is another one)
i wish findagrave would upgrade their system and allow us to add a child as well as parents. that way we don't have to wait for the original contributor to accept an edit.
had to get that off my chest. thank you allowing me to vent. brenda
keep up the good work..some of us have a real goal to remember our loved ones as respectfully as possible.

RE: Updates
Me too, and I've got 2 habitual "slackers" that enter memorials at Abraham Lincoln NC.

One just enters the birth/death years and the other only enters the death date. Both get their info from the obituary they just uploaded to the bio field. More often than not the dates are right there in the obituary.

I feel like they are trying to get me to enter the dates for them (via the "edit" tab).

Boy have I been delinquent...looking at my work log, April 24th was the last time I made time to review interments at Indiantown Gap NC.

Thanks for the friendly reminder,

RE: Updates
Hi Joanne,

Thank you for showing concern. Things are doing great here, but I'm a little behind on some of my Find A Grave obligations. But, I'm still exhaling after each inhale. May I should cut back on the number of national cemeteries that I monitor.

We took a 5 month camping snowbird vacation last winter (Dec 18, 2015 to May 12 2016). Most of the time was spent in Arizona and Nevada. Yes, we had an awesome time, but the internet connection at the camp sites was horrible. And, I couldn't take pictures at Abraham Lincoln Nation Cemetery while we were gone. I even had a Verizon Wi-Fi hot spot with me but I'd use up all of my Verizon data and then all of my AT&T iPhone hot spot data by the end of the first week, each month. My data overages were expensive and I had to stop exceeding my limits. I'm going to have to find a better solution this year or I'll always be behind, never catching up.

I was about 3 months behind when I got home. I'm still in "catch up" mode. I've been trying to get to the cemetery to take pictures, then processing and uploading the pictures, and reviewing recent interments and making new memorials. People keep dying day-after-day, after day; there's no rest for the weary.

I've also been working with a cousin in Pennsylvania, trying to get caught up with our family tree (almost 9,000 relatives). That's eating into my Find A Grave time, too.

Hope all is well with you and your family, and you never tire of

Just wanted to let you know I saw the new memorial you recently added for this person. I do not know him; however, since my grandfather's name was Fred Rhody, born in Rausch Creek, Schuylkill County, PA, there could be a family tie somewhere; and the name drew me in. When I saw the man was a veteran, I was instantly more interested and added him to my Veterans' Virtual Cemetery.
Thank you for all your contributions to Find A Grave.

Mary Moran Kornotto
Thank you for including the obituary for Mary A Moran Kornotto. I looked to see if I could find a record of her middle name. I had done that for her mother, Mary McKenna Moran, but could not find a record for Agnes. In the obituary it shows her mother as Mary Agnes McKenna Moran so her daughter was probably
Agnas as welll.
