Bill Holder
RE: Martha Josephine Holder Austin

I have a huge HOLDER collection I have gathered the last 20 years. I don't publish it because I know there are many errors made by other
researchers. The Find-a-grave data base is a great place to enter data, and check what I have collected.

I see her on the 1860 census below
As far as
1860 United States Federal Census about Josephine Holder
Name: Josephine Holder
Age in 1860: 4
Birth Year: abt 1856
Birthplace: Georgia
Home in 1860: Southern Division, Randolph, Alabama
Gender: Female
Post Office: Buchanan
Value of real estate: View image
Household Members:
Name Age
Joseph Holder 25
Harriet Holder 23
Josephine Holder 4
Dave J Holder 1

On the 1850 census I found her father, and he is shown as Josephus by the person translating the record.

Census: 1850 Heard County,GA
4 456 473 Holder Malachi 47 M Farmer 500 N.C.
5 456 473 Holder Colin 40 F N.C.

I've sent you some changes for the Clyde Jackson family. I got the information from the wife Florence's obituary. She and Clyde had two sons Bobby and Bruce and also listed were her two brother Orin and J. J Driver.

RE: Martha Josephine Holder Austin

I have been collecting ALL Holder data I can find since about 1995. I have a huge file, over 137,000 people, and a lot of errors in it. I do not publish my data because of the errors that seem to only multiply if I post. Find-a-grave seems to be the perfect vehicle to do verifications, double checking information. If other facts I have agree, then I consider it good information.

RE: Martha Josephine Holder Austin

I have been collecting data for all the
HOLDER lines for the last 20 years. I am now in the process of matching my data base to the Find-a-grave information. I use my data base, find a grave information and census data for verification. I probably have the largest collection of HOLDER data, and I refuse to give my information to because they are nothing but profit motivated, and family information should not be sold. It seems as Find-a-grave is a good place to share the information, and unlike Mormon information in Salt Lake City, any errors can be easily corrected.

Thank you for this photo. John Turner survived World War 1, but for some reason, committed suicide a few years later at age 22.

There are now many medical definitions of mental and emotional illnesses that afflict returning soldiers from Viet Nam, the Gulf Wars Iraq and Afghanistan. However, no one knew much about the demons that afflicted shell shocked survivors of those earlier wars. I'm not related to John, but I feel for him and his short life and wanted his grave stone to be seen by others.

Thanks for your help!
