Thanks for the catch LOL. The 0 is next to the 9 and I guess I just hit the wrong key and never noticed. I appreciate your calling it to my attention.

William A. Garrett and family
Joan, firstly; thanks so much for putting the memorials up for my Garrett's. William A. Garret is my great, great uncle. It was wonderful to find him, his wife Isabella and 4 of their children's memorials. I did some connecting of the children to their parents in the "edit" format. Thanks again

Mrs Joseph E Stark
Hi Joan--your message prompted me to do a little digging on Mrs. Stark. I found her given name, birthdate and place of birth on her Death Certificate and was able to link her with their son, John, also at SANC through the VA Nationwide Gravesite Locator. I have no idea where husband, Joseph, is buried. Thanks! Laura

Hello, and thank you for the work you did on this individual, he is my great grandfather. I've been doing a lot of work on my own and it was great to see this. However, I have many research questions as to how you came about this information. Could you please contact me in a private message at

Thank you.

Joan you seem like a wonderful lady. I read the 1883 obits you put up, how tragic. I guess it was a busy day for heaven.

Do you think you could transfer Mr Clarence Leonard Jones to me? He is my great grandfather.

Would enjoy chatting as well sometime. The rest of the Jones moved to CA after his death.

God Bless

Once again, my Family and I thank you for your generous gifts of spirit, time, and energy !

Corrections to St Johns Cemetery
Hi Joan,
I wanted to thank you for making the corrections I sent on the memorials in St John's. I have more but will send a few at a time so as not to overwhelm you. Thanks again for all you do for Find A Grave.
Oh, I was wondering if you had any idea why a lot of the headstones in St. John's Old are no longer showing on the memorials. I walked the cemetery yesterday and photographed all but one small portion and the majority don't have headstones on the cite but if you look at the listing it shows the little headstone icon.

Well thanks again, Lesly

Hello Joan,
You have posted information on our family member. I request that you please turn over maintenance of this site to me so that family can now be responsible for this.
Thank you.

Nancy Cornelius
Big Creek Cemetery and Brown Beard Cemetery
Sorry for any problems. These 2 cemeteries are actually the same. It appears that someone took picutes of the Brumbelow family and posted them on the Big Creek posting and not the other. Find a grave may want to combine the 2 cemeteries.

Find A Grave Memorial# 60202975, F. A. Wakefield
This is possibly the final resting place of a long lost great uncle, Frederick A. Wakefield b. abt. 1856, Ohio, listed in 1880 Census as Fred A. Wakefield in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas. You have indicated familiarity in that you report an 1855 birth year rather than 1850 as appearing on the stone, and you also indicated that he was a traveling salesman. Please contact me at if you can confirm identification. Many thanks.

Two different names in Same Plot
Dear Joan,

I am so confused. I am trying to find the grave sight for Daniel Trevino-Martinez DOB - 12/3/1967 and DOD 4/16/1988.

Find A Grave. com states he is buried at Sam Houston in San Antonio in Plot 8A, 909. I called the cemetery staff and they said that plot is occupied by Daniel M. Marin with the same date of birth and the same date of death. I don't understand.

The young man I am looking for died in an accident in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I cannot find any other information for him. Who is really buried in that plot and how can I go about finding the correct information? I am not a family member. We are trying to locate any family members of Daniel Trevino-Martinez. It is very important. Loretta

Never mind!
I am not a numbers hog, I add identifying information and link the person to their parents and spouse(s). I glady transfer to any blood relative no matter what their relationship, because I want this site to be the best it can be.
I have read your profile and you are rude! Death Certificates are great when they are added, this helps those who are trying to joining organinzations that are based on lineage and need documented proof os the same. Shame on you!

Donna Johnson
Charles Arthur Renfrow, Union Hill Cemetery, Mississippi
Did the names of his parents come from his death certificate? Trying to determine relationship to Sam F Renfrow buried same cemetery, possible brother. Also looking for the burial site of his mother Susan Culp whose maiden name was Hoover. William Culp was her first husband. Thanks! Donna

Re: Jacob Dullnig
His marker shows ties to your area: ID 94961242.
He's buried just outside D.C. No apparent relatives otherwise. He had 5 daughters and 2 sons. Just passing this along in case you had any data. Fred
