Our Betsey!
Hi! Yes, of course! If only to pay you back for being such a pest. :) I have 2 photos of her- do I have young Betsey or older Betsey here, can't remember! How awful. Younger Betsey is quite lovely, I'm sure she'd be thrilled using that photo. I'll go check. No need to give me credit, relatives have just as much right to have those as I do.She's all of ours- we all love her!

Yes, I sent the obit, and of course use it! I'd be thrilled. Remind me to send a copy of a letter I found, which she wrote- she must have been a hoot! Pokes fun at her daughter-in-law ( my grgrgrandmother ) for being too snooty, has a shot at a few other people, hysterical. I'll poke around, see if there's anything else. Betsey is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Cordelia & Jesse Bowers
I found a tree someone put on familysearch.org that lists Minnie as their daughter, with a note that she was actually their niece. It also has a nice post-burial obit for him. You can find it here: http://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/SYYB-C84

There's also another tree on the same website that shows William S & Lucretia as his parents, but it's computer generated & hasn't been verified by actual documents. You can find it here: http://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/M8LZ-7G1

Maybe you already know about both of those. I haven't been able to find any actual documents supporting any of this, but maybe that 1860 census on fold3 is the missing link. I'll keep searching.

RE: Cordelia & Jessee Bowers
There is a Jesse Bowers listed in the 1860 census, but it's owned by fold3.com & I don't have a membership there. All I can tell is that he was 6 years old during that census, which does line up with Jesse Ash's birth year. If you have access to fold3, you might check there, since I'd expect his family of origin to also be listed on that census with him.

Jesse Ash happens to be one of my brick walls. I know his descendants, but not his parents & up. I've just started looking with the info you gave me and have already found William S, Lucretia, Jane, Emeline & Simpson Bowers on the 1850 US census in Arkansas. That was my first hit, so I'll keep looking & let you know if I can find the link to Jesse. Hopefully I'll locate the 1860 census, since Jesse was born in 1854.

RE: Dear Pest (kidding!!!)
Ha! That's ok, I'm usually the Pest! I couldn't find the email ( yet ) which addey? The one shown here on Find a Grave or the one I sent you before? I'll look in the morning on both- sometimes my emails are a little late showing up.

I should go through all my Huson photos I know are not from my direct line- my grgrandmother had old ones of relatives too, and see if any might match your folks!

RE: Winton Huson
And I am SO sorry- I wasn't thinking, and put Winton's photo on his profile without checking with you first! I'm NOT conversant with plain, old etiquette here on Find a Grave, so please do excuse!I've been doing this frequently without it occuring to me to 'ask' the folks who did all the work! Gee whiz, will attach the obit when I finally find it, properly in an email.... :)

Sorry to keep cluttering up your message board, cousin! I just sent another ' Huson ' blurb, a short bio I ran into gosh, 1999 or 2000? I attached it to an emails, hope it might be helpful?

RE: Newspaper Article
I'm so glad you were excited, too! I was SO psyched to see Nelson's name on that list. I haven't really looked through newspaper sites before, but a librarian from Rochestor suggested this one. You'll be hooked! :)

RE: Winton Huson
Hey, is there a place on here, where I can attach a pdf? I found an old newspaper, where your grgrgrgrandfather Nelson signed support for something publicly, along with a few other Husons and a large portion of the men in town. It was impossible to copy/paste, I have it in a file.

RE: Winton Huson
Hi again,
Sorry it has taken so, so long to get back to you. I've seriously been looking through some of the oldest papers and things from my grgrandmother's home- it's where all the Huson treasures came from. Gosh, so much do not wish to conjecture, but have it in my memory banks that your grgrgrgrandfather may have been included in one of the conversations on this endless, seemingly hereditary tendency running through this family with TB. It's what killed Winton also- whose obit I do have, I see On my Kindle-now to get it from there to Find-A-Grave!

Will keep looking for that 'conversation'- there's this terrible list, the Husons really suffered from this. My own grandmother died of it, Margaret Keep Jolley, daughter of Mary Huson Keep- as Margaret's sister.
Take care.

I just completed taking pictures of all the head stones in FT Phantom Hill Cemetery and adding to those that lacked pictures. I just like to do cemetery research to provide added information.

RE: Winton Huson
HI again! Sorry also I never seem to remember to get to my messages! I wish there was a notification blurb they send you, hitting me over the head, than I'd check! :)Yes, I will certainly send them to you- hate to have any of the Husons you've taken SUCH good care of transferred, it's lovely to find all of them here. I'll just send it to you, or anything else and hope it's ok with you to add it? Anytime you would rather transfer, I would accept, I just think it's nice to have them all where they started and am just lucky you do not seem to mind me as I keep sticking my nose in here. :)Thanks SO much again.
Annie
ps Oh, let's see, Wm Henry and Mary Emma Reed Huson are my grgrgrandparents, their daughter Mary Huson Keep my grgrandmother.

He was part of a cemetery list, but when it was compiled and from what sources I don't know. It seems likely that they're the same person. If you want to get the info from mine first, then remind me and I'll delete it.

RE: Winton Huson
Oh, and ps, I DO have Winton's obit, just came across it again the other day, poor guy! Will go dig it out yet again- can't imagine! He'd been up at Cornell studying law when BOOM- TB got him like SO many of the rest of the Husons, my grandmother ( a Keep, her mother a Huson ) included. I think I did just post Winton's photo on your memorial for him? And possibly his sister Anna's photo on hers. She ended up living in Pittsburgh, PA, by the way, d 1934?

RE: Sponsorships
Hi SKP- I'm the one who is SO embaressed, gosh, all I have had to do for all these relatives of both of ours is come along behind all your hard work and 'click'- sponser when I can! :) Way too easy, you have to admit! As ever, thanks SO, so much for your memorials for all our ancestors, I can't imagine the hours, research, and tromping through wet grass. :) What am I doing meanwhile? Sitting on a sofa with a mouse.... 'click'! :)

RE: Huson
Hi again, and thanks for SO, so much work. I keep coming across all these graves, SO thrilling and touching, then of course see your initials. I'm extremely grateful, the only way to show it would be to sponser sponser sponser! :)
So sorry on the lung condition, there's certainly a family 'tradition' of this- my grgrandmother Mary Huson ( Keep ) lost 2 daughters to TB, one of them was never officially diagnosed as having TB, they just couldn't understand what on earth it was. No treatments in those days which worked like we have. A 'wasting' lung disease, they called it, interesting. My mother has exertional asthma, has always been puffy without ever going to get a diagnosis. She's been afraid to I think because of her mother.
