Bonnie, you are so sweet! Thanks so much for your kind words. You make me happy about what I do here. :D

I am confused though on who you want transferred?

Hello Bonnie,
Thank you. I have not been as active on Find-A-Grave recently. I had found another persons pic of the headstone sometime back, just did not make the changes to the post, thank you!
Not to take from the other persons pictures, but your picture offers better clarity. I have added your picture to my personal database with recognition given to you as the owner of the photo.
I will see if I can contact the other poster for removal, if they agree.

Tom

Aflred Brock Tombstone Inscription
Hi Bonnie,
Regarding inscription at bottom of Alfred's tombstone:
After some searching found where he had married Martha Paul in 1880; then found her name as Mattie Ellen Brock on her death record - then her FindAGrave memorial & linked them. How is that for detective work?

Hi Bonnie,
I appreciate your thoughtfulness. His stone is very impressive, & you did a perfect job photographing it.

It's wonderful that all those people were out there on behalf of the cemetery. Happy to be working with you on FindAGrave.

Aww, thanks Bonnie! I didn't see an obit though. Are you related to them? Do you want transfers? Just let me know, ok? I remember Viola from back then.

Thank you for your kind words. I work with several extended family researchers and this photograph belongs to one of them. When you click on the photograph on findagrave, you will find the name of the family tree and owner. I do believe though it is now a private family tree, I just have guest access. I will get in touch with Gwynn, do you mind sending me your email address? Mine is: moonmarsha@hotmail.com. Also, since you are doing research on Ascenith's line, would you mind creating your daughter-in-law's line that connects to her. Ascenith is lonely, all Gwynn had were initials for the kids. Gwynn and I share a grgrgr grandmother that was part of my DAR application and my research helped her with a supplemental on her DAR membership. So I think she will be agreeable. Thanks again, you too, have done wonders....

RE: Buck/NcNamee
Yes, it sometimes is hard for me to keep track of all the memorials I have created but I wanted to help others locate graves and add as much info. to memorials that I could. Today I am working on adding more cemetery photos to memorials. It took me several hours to take them and now I am editing, croping and renaming them. Just wish it didn't take so long to add them to memorials. My dial up internet service takes forever!

I guess we are all related since both my husband and myself go back to the same Buck ancestors, Matthew and Magdalene (Decker) Buck who lived in Athens County, Ohio. Three of their sons, James, Sylvester and Rev. William Buck moved to Macon County, Missouri. James Buck is my husband's ancestor and Rev. William Buck is mine!

I want to get back to those photos I am working on. Hope you have a nice evening, Farm Girl from MO.

RE: McNamee
Took me a little while to find the connection to Barnabus McNamee. When requesting additional info. it always helps to include the memorial number for that person. I'm only connected to the McNamee family by marriage as two of his descendents married into my husband's Buck family. I have no knowledge of who Barnabus McNamee's parents were. You might contact the person who created his memorial. Have a nice day, Farm Girl from MO.

I'm an old timer that do not use GPS. It is to time consuming for me. I'm trying to up date my 25,000 names on my family tree and pull in photo's to go with the names. I only read my e-mail once a month. That is why I'm forever to respond to a post.

RE: Carpenter
The Carpenter book I was given as a boy in 1965 only went back to Robert Shanklin Carpenter.
On Ancestry.com I found John and trace the tree back to Hans Zimmerman. Hans is from Switzerland and came to America in 1732.

Most of my souses comes from Ancestry.com.
I am not a member of ancestry.com anymore so I can not go back and look up their source.
I found the Carpenter Cemetery in some books in Columbus, MO.

RE: John Goodman
Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for all that typing! I googled Goodman's name and was actually surprised when I found his bio already printed, so copied it & finished what you had started. Sometimes I have had that happen while trying to leave a public message like this. It can be very embarrassing!

I sincerely appreciate your help.

RE: McDavitt
Glad I was able to provide some info. that would be of help to you on the McDavitt's. I forgot that the McDavitts could be distant relatives of mine by marriage possibly. A McDavitt married Nathaniel "Doc" Broyles and my great-great grandmother was Grace L. (Broyles) Miller. They even knew each other so they must have been related somehow! Anyway, glad that I could remember where I found my info. I usually list general source info. on my contributor page and only give titles of newspapers, death certificate info. or a spacific book title on individual memorials.

Good morning, Bonnie.
Thanks for the nice long article about John. I hate to mention this but your computer apparently deleted part of John's bio when it cut you off. Do you have the source of the article?

McDavitt's
I just remembered that I also found some info. in two history books that I have. One for Randolph and Macon County, Mo. and the other for La Plata, Macon County, Mo. I have added these sources to the bio. area of my memorials for Basil McDavitt, Sr. and his son, Leo McDavitt. Sometimes I use several sources when creating memorials and after doing genealogy for over 30 years it is hard to remember them all! Hope this helps.
