Beverley Bollt
Tony Pope and Dan Higgins
Hello. My name is Beverley Bollt (in Florida) and I was married to Daniel Paul Higgins III. Dan and I have been divorced for many years but I was contacted last week by Human Services in Palm Beach County.
I'm trying to reach anyone who knows Dan and would be willing to contact me. Dan and Tony Pope were always dear friends and Dan worked for a time in Lantana for Gene Pope (Lois also).
I'd would greatly appreciate hearing from you or anyone regarding Dan.
Thank you!

Obit article
Thank you so much, Anthony. I will still give you credit for the article. I'm so thankful for you and folks like you who care about the beautiful wilderness in our nation. We just returned from the Smokey Mountain National Park last week - wonderful! Alice Zahniser is still alive and is about 95! She's been a widow for a long, long time.
Best wishes,
Barbara

Howard Zahniser's obit
Hi Anthony,
I am writing a book about the Peverill family and Howard Zahniser married Alice Hayden, who is my father's first cousin. I was wondering if I could use the information you wrote about him on Find A Grave for my book? I would of course use "quotes" and give you credit for writing it. The book will be going to family members and I may donate it to a library or two, but will never be officially published and never for sale. Just let me know.
Thank you,
Barbara

Request from TV show
Hi Anthony,

I work on the television show Monumental Mysteries on Travel Channel and we are currently producing a segment of our show about Sybil Ludington. I saw that you had uploaded an illustration of her to this website, and I was hoping that you could tell me where you got it from.

We would be interested in licensing the image and I would love to discuss this with you further. Please contact me at christy.steele@optomenusa.com

Thanks very much in advance.

New Paltz Rural Cemetery photo
Hi. May I use your cemetery sign photo and include it in a documents packet to be submitted with a DAR application? I've just submitted a photo request for the tombstone of Arthur W Richards but in any event would like to include the cemetery sign photo with the application. Thanks in advance!

Name
I just saw a message from a relative that said, indeed, it was spelled "Greggory." Sorry for the criticism.

Jeffrey
Name and photo
Are you sure it's "Greggory"? "Gregg" is a name in itself, not just a nickname.

Also, the rules for this site request that all photos be ones personally taken by the contributor. This is a professional photo of the couple, though it may be allowed under "fair use."

GG
Etan Patz Memorial
In your memorial of Etan Patz, your wording wrongly states that Ronald Reagan was president in 1979 ("then-President....") No, he wasn't; Jimmy Carter was. Reagan didn't declare May 25 to be National Missing Children's Day until 1983 -- four years after Etan's abduction and murder. Hopefully nothing else you wrote in this (or other) memorials is inaccurate and incorrect.

MaryAnn Measles-Morningside Cem, Gaylordsville

Anthony, I came across this obit on GenealogyBuff./com that you might want to copy to the memorial that you placed on FindAGrave.

Maryann Jeanine Measles, 14, of New Milford, died in Bridgewater.
She was born March 22, 1984 in Sharon, daughter of Cynthia Larmore Measles of New Milford and the late Martin Linnell Measles. She was a seventh grader at Schaghticoke Middle School during the last school year.
She attended the Awana Club and Bible Baptist Church in New Milford and was a junior volunteer at Geer Memorial Nursing Home in Canaan.
Besides her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Jennifer, Victoria and Chelsea, all of New Milford; her maternal grandparents, Mary and Merton Larmore Jr. of Port Henry, N.Y.; her maternal great-grandmother, Irene Card of Canaan; and her paternal grandmother of California.
Contributions may be made to the Maryann Measles Burial Fund, c/o Fleet Bank, South Main Street, New Milford, CT 06776, or any branch in your area.
Burial was yesterday (Wednesday) at the Morningside Cemetery in Gaylordsville. The Colonial Funeral Home in New Milford was in charge of the arrangements.

I could not agree more. I had her bio turned down as "famous" three times. Since her page has now been sponsored, that precludes further attempts. Thanks for writing,

Thank you...
for your excellent wrapup on the story of Kitty Genovese. Her death was significant in many intangible ways, and you did a very good job makingwhy it was important clear. Well done.

I just got done reading Chessly Sullenberger's autobiography, and he cites her death as a pivotal occurrence in his life, and credits it, in part, to his decision to never idly "stand by" when a difference can be made.

RE: photo of Priscilla Lawson
Thank You.

My Bust. I HAD seen that photo incorrectly identified as "Priscilla Lawson". The same picture is on Jean Rogers' page. Anyway, I just submitted a correction memo through the discussion forum, and offered a different photo. They should correct it this evening.

Thank you, again. Happy Easter.

Anna Hauptmann
Anthony, I just wanted to ask you to make one minor correction to the bio on Mrs Hauptmann. I was a close friend of hers until her death, and I can tell you with certainty that her ashes were scattered over the city of Stuttgart, Germany, where she grew up.

Colombo Grave
Anthony, thank you so much for taken a picture of my families grave. I used to get to it all the time before I moved to AZ. I haven't been home in 3 years and it was nice being able to visit the graves without being able to be there. I don't know if you are aware, but one side of the stone is of my mother Dorothy, father Dominick and aunts and uncles. The other side is of my brother Eugene Colombo, that died December 25, 1989. I haven't looked to see if pictures of both sides have been taken, but if not, if you get back to the cemetery, could you take a picture of the other side.

I think it's wonderful that we have volunteers like you that take time out to do this for us.

Now I'm going back to check it out.

Thanks again.

Judy
