Hi,
My name is Maggie McDonald and Golda would have been my Great-Grandma. My mom is Her Granchild, Cheryl Platz (now McDonald) and my Grandma is Betty Platz, SHe still lives in Burlington Iowa. I never got to meet my Grandpa, Ernest Platz. he died before i was born, because of smoking. RE: Aura Mitten (19887330)
You could ask the other person to transfer that memorial to you, since you are related. She usually will transfer to family members. And as far as the "world" caring, it is against Find A Grave rules to knowingly create duplicates, just because they are family members.

John and Matilda Peterson Murfin
Hello Brent,

Are you related to the Murfins? Matilda's brother, John Thomas Peterson is my GG Grandfather, so Matilda would be my GGG Aunt. Would it be okay if I saved a copy of the family picture of John, Matilda and Joseph? I am the genealogist for the Peterson, Florea Storer Reunion and we would love to have this picture in the family records.

Thank You,
Michael

Hi Brent
I'm afraid I can't help you much at all. I live in Kansas. When I put the memorials up in Holmes Co it was because I found them on another online burial website and I wondered why nobody was working this area of Ohio. So I started adding names to cemeteries from the other website. I don't know anything at all about the area.

I added a pic of my brother
Hi Brent,

Bret L. Satterfield was my older brother and I added a pic of him during his naval service, all grown up. :) I love the school pic (I have seen that one before) and the toddler pic with our Dad. Thanks for posting his obituary and everything.

Thank you for the picture of Myrtle Spencer and Miss Airy. I have always been interested in Genealogy and now Find-A-Grave has enriched me with more avenues to follow. As finding you was great. I agree 100% of the bio and your authorship is yours and it should stay that way, unless real close relatives needs to take over and follow through with the transfer. Between the Ornes and Petrees I enjoyed my youth, as they taught me respect, trust honor and most of all love for others. yes Bonnie Crossgrove I visited often, up on the way to and from school.

I hope you don't mind that I added you as a friend. I saw your response to the rude contributor and was so pleased that you put her in her place. There is another one out there by the name of Elizabeth. Beware! She acts psyco!

Burial Unknowns
The SACs I sent you are duplicates because there is a memorial for the person in a cemetery.

I realize they are noted as "Cremation - ashes given to family" but that doesn't mean that the family didn't subsequently bury the ashes in a cemetery and put up a headstone. Should you bother to look at the original memorial in its proper location, you'll see a lovely photo of the stone.

"If that is "unknown" then you clearly have no understanding of final dispositions and you must be incompetent!" Given the circumstances it surely isn't me that is "incompetent". LOL

"I would like to know who made you the Find-A-Grave police/nazi! I take extreme offense to your constant badgering and I will not tolerate it."

The creator of the website has put in place a system by which errors can be brought to the attention of the contributor and to the admins, if the contributor ignores the request. Duplicates are against the Find A Grave rules. If you find this offensive, that is your problem, not mine.

"As I personally have been a funeral professional for more than 20 years and familiar with state law and dispositions, I believe I know alot more about it than you do."

Considering you think that "Cremation - ashes given to family" means there is no burial site, ever, I guess you don't actually know as much as you should. Any "funeral professional" I have dealt with has offered various options if cremation is chosen. Given to the family is only one.

More than glad to go directly to the admins with your errors if you'd prefer to not have the opportunity to fix them.

Good luck.

Burial Unknown Duplicate
Your memorial is a duplicate because it was listed as burial unknown. Since you have now moved it, you have created the memorial in the cemetery to become a duplicate. According to the guidelines a contributor has 30 days to find the location of the burial or remove their burial unknown.

Thanks.

Thank you so much for the work that you have done! I have started work on my husband's family and have found so many records that you have recorded. I am very grateful for your time spent and the hours you have saved me searching for the records!

Victim
I see you have been a target of another "contributor's" harassment! I am so sorry for this... I too have been her target. She constantly threatens and harasses me and leaves me nasty messages on my profile page even though I have asked her to stop! I for one do not think a contributors profile page is a place to chat, argue or leave rude harassing messages. I too have provided my email address for that purpose.. I suggested "she" contact me thru my email address and she had an excuse not to she also informed me I should not make my email address available to the public.

You hang in there!

Find a Grave reminder
Please do not create duplicate memorials under any circumstance or for any reason. Always check our database very carefully before creating a new entry. We might already have the person listed! Keep in mind that duplicating existing memorials is strictly against Find a Grave policy, and intentionally duplicating memorials can put your account in jeopardy. Always use the "Suggest a Correction" feature found by clicking on the "Edit" tab.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Flynn Connection
Hi Brent, thanks for the reply. I dont think there is any connection between the Flynn's and Luddens, nothing that I have come across. My wife and I roadtripped to Adair one weekend so I could take pics of my ggg grandfather and families headstones. Since the cemetery is not that big, I took pics of all the headstones, one, because I may find that my tree is linked to other families in the cemetery, and two, I want to post them on the web so if someone else has relatives there and doesnt have the luxury of making a weekend trip, they can see the pics on the web. I am also sending them to the MOAdair website, starting with my ancestors of course....if you like, I can post the pic of Mr. Bernard Ludden's headstone.
We drove through Brashear while visiting St Mary's cemetery. Many of my ancestors lived in Brashear also.
Thanks again for the reply...

Bernard Ludden
Brent, I recently visited St Mary's Cemetery as many of my ancestors are buried there. While I was there taking photos of my ancestors headstones, I decided to take pictures of ALL the headstones in the cemetery. I have a picture of Bernard and Ann Ludden, except the birthdate of Bernard is different than what you have posted here on Find-a-Grave. I wanted to upload the picture for you, but wanted to make sure it was the same person. The death date is the same, but the birth dates are different, the headstone reads Dec 1, 1831. If you would like me to upload, just let me know. I added a photo to your Shipley posting....hope that was ok...

thanks
Sean Flynn
