RE: William Hadfield
John,

I don't know the name of William Hadfield's wife. Something strange there because he's buried by himself. I'm thinking he was a bachelor. He might have been gay. Back in his time gays were totally in the closet. But in almost every family there was the "bachelor uncle", i.e. "gay uncle." I'm the one in my family. Unfortunately, identifying myself publicly as gay has restricted my ability to research my family history because of homophobia. Interestingly, the people I've gotten the most cooperation from (sharing family trees) are also gay like me. One well known cousin (a published cookbook author) from the Hadfield line was even disowned by his family when they found out he was gay. He has supplied me with most of my Hadfield and Hickman family information. If I find anything further on William Hadfield I'll let you know.
Have a great day!

John,

Thank you for the death certificate information on my grandfather. I'm so glad that Pennsylvania is doing something right and releasing death certificate information for the general public. It's about time. By the way, my grandmother's maiden name was "Warrick." Just goes to show you that sometimes the information on the death certificate isn't always correct. (Smile).

Joh,

Thank you so much for providing the death certificate information of my great-great uncle William Hadfield. This information confirmed the information I had on his parents: John Hadfield and Ann Storer. Now I can rest easy!

Have a great day!

I must have added a digit by mistake. The memorial I meant to refer you to is 16726566. It is a memorial for my great great aunt, Mary Dague. Not sure why Patti Myers is managing it.

Memorial 167265661
I am writing this note to ask for your permission to use a photo on find a grave that you created. I am constructing the family of my paternal great grandfather. The subject memorial is for his older sister. My problem is that the person who took over the memorial from you will not correct it. The memorial lists a link to incorrect parents. If you want to please check it, I believe you will agree that the death certificate I placed there is valid. I also added an 1860 Federal Census showing her as a member of my gg grandfather's family. I created my own memorial # 134701913 for my great great aunt, but I do not have a tombstone photo. I am working with find a grave to correct this inaccuracy, but they generally do not work quickly. The person managing your memorial has done the same thing numerous times in the Honeybrook area. I can provide a reference for this problem. It is a shame when people record information on the web and do not accept the inaccuracy. Hope you agree. My id number is 47514669

Christian Ruch/Rugh
I think it likely this is the grave and tombstone of Christian, s/o Hans George (the Jr) and not the s/o his brother Michael.

The baptismal record of Christian s/o Michael & Francina (per Rev Stoever at Moselem)indicates b. date of 30 Dec 1748. History of Lehigh Co gives a b. date for Christian s/o George as 7 Jan 1748.

But having said that I have not been able to find further record of Christian s/o Michael. He doesn't show up as having been in Westmoreland Co with his parents and siblings. Perhaps he simply stayed behind in Eastern PA when they migrated into Western PA. If so "History of Lehigh Co" may have it wrong and this really is Michael's boy.

But I don't think so.

I have just recently found my link to the Evans family in Norristown.do you have any connections to the Evans family? I have been trying for years to find the parents/siblings of Monroe G Evans who died in Lehigh County PA 1911. Find A Grave#69108890 perhaps you could link him to his brother Harrison in some way? Or if you could transfer Harrison to me, I would appreciate that.
Thank you
Patti

Frederick Grube above memorial. You have an obit that doesn't (possibly) got to him. The ages you have on the obit at b. April 1829 and died 20 July 1906 (that is 77 years) the obit states he was 69. I do not believe they are the same person. Please clarify? Thank you. I am looking for the family member of Fredrick Grube and the obit matches the persons I am looking for but the age doesn't match.
