Thank you for posting this wonderful bio. I am related to C.Y. Turner and have been searching the web for references to him. This was great to find and adds another piece in the puzzle of discovering his life and artistic career.

RE: Joan Mintzer Deutsch
I was very happy to help. Would you like me to add entries for the other headstones in the Kaplan plot? They include: Samuel Mintzer; Edyth Deutsch; David Kaplan; Fannie Klein; and Myron Bernard Kaplan. --Julie

Hi, Seth. I just fulfilled your photo request for Joan Mintzer Deutsch. I also took photos of the other headstones in the plot (Kaplan) and would be happy to create entries for them if you are interested. Take care, Julie.

Photos of Sara's and Nettie's memorials have
been added. Sorry, but I could not find any
reference to Otto. I am more than happy to have
been able to help you.

RE: Charles Yardley Turner
I have been to the Friends Cemetery and done some photography, but not Mr. Turner's. If I ever get back up there I will make a point of finding him.

Abraham Isaac Weinstein

The particular plot where Abraham is buried has
four graves; two on either side of the family
marker. The graves are marked 11, 12, 32 and 33.
Abraham is in 11, his wife Nettie is in grave 12,
a Goldberg (no marker) is in 32 and Bernard
Rosenwieg is in 33. Your Aunt Sara is also in this section several plots away. I took pictures of her marker, so if you create a memorial for her I will add photos. The same goes for Nettie. Please note that with the photo of Abraham's marker I included his location in the cemetery just in case you wanted to update his memorial.

Do you happen to know what section and plot she is in? Im very close to this cemetery and can take this photo for you but it is a large cemeter and its so much easier with the info. You can call the office and get the info if you do not have it.

Re: Memorial update
Thank you for the Kiddish prayer. I am curious about the small stone with the left hand.

My wife and I say a prayer for the peace of Jerusalem every morning during our devotion. We visited Israel in early 1980's. One of the most beautiful sights I have every experienced was the sunrise over the Sea of Galilee.

Please stay in touch.

Hi, Seth,
No, I never had the pleasure of meeting your beloved Grandfather Abraham Jacob. (I'm only 50 years old.) I sometimes stroll through the non-famous graves sites and picked your Grandfather's name at random. He led a very interesting life, with being a painter and educator. I look forward to meeting him one day in Heaven.

Take Care,

Thanks for the information. I appreciate it very much.

Do I need to do anything to the memorial.

Re: Memorial update
I spend a lot of time looking for and listing graves. Checking the records to make sure that I did not duplicate the records I noticed that there was a date listed for your loved one. Your memorial did not show a date.

I felt that I should let the person know that managed the record. Glad to have been some help.

Blessings upon you, your family and Israel.
