|Sue Oliver||Grace Elizabeth Riley|
Thank you for posting Grace's information on Findagrave. I didn't know that she existed until maybe 6 years ago. She was my grandpa's little sister. I have more information about Grace if you would like to add it.
Grace's parents were Robert Riley and Lovina Law-Riley. Grace was born 16 Oct 1918 in Charles City, Iowa and died 26 Jan 1919 in Charles City, Iowa. She had one older brother, Roy Earl Riley (later adopted by his maternal grandparents and name was changed to Roy Law when his mother died in 1920). Her mother, Lovina, is buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery. If I am remembering my notes correctly, Grace died from pnuemonia or influenza.

My gggrand father is Joseph A Sloan #69422262 and if you want to transfer that to me, it would be great. I was wondering if there is anything said about a wife of his possibly named May Sloan Lee- they were divorced but I still want to locate her burial spot too.

Hi Kathy, I found your email when I was looking at the DeBoest data. Dorothy DeBoest was my aunt (Dad's sister) and my parents were from Charles City so I knew a lot of people in the Riverside cemetery. I can probably supply a lot of links and misc. info if you are ever in the need. I live in San Jose. Bernie Glienke

John William REFSNIDER 1871-1944

Find A Grave Memorial# 29180854
This Memorial has a link to his wife, Mary (Staebler) REFSNIDER. Her link goes to another Mary (Staebler) Refsnider, whose spouse was William REFSNIDER. This link also connects to children John William REFSNIDER and T. Pansy (Refsnider) HOWREY. John William Refsnider does go with the Family of John and Mary (Staebler) REFSNIDER. BUT William and Mary (Staebler) REFSNIDER is a separate family. They moved from Pennsylvania to Michigan, not Iowa. You can check the census and you will find a William and Mary Refsnider in Michigan and a John and Mary Refsnider in Iowa.
As there is no headstone for Mary (Staebler) Refnider at this time, we cannot compare the two Marys. I have found a birth for our Mary married to John from the 1900 Niles, Floyd Co. IA, October 1838. Her date of death from the Iowa Floyd County Website USGENWEB.
I really think these are two different Marys. As I cannot find a marriage ...WAIT a Minute! I found a Marriage Record for John Refsnider and Mary Stabler on 24 December 1860 in Floyd County, Iowa from http://www.Archives.com I also found the same information on http://www.FamilySearch LDS .
Not sure how you want to handle this. I think you have our Mary Staebler, but her link is incorrect.
Thank you for your time for keeping up all these memorials!

|Michael Rewey||Alta Maria Kellogg Barris|
Hi Kathy, thanks for your great work and Alta's obituary.
I was aware of Alta's two children and found the Dean Kellogg Barris side of the family. I also know that her daughter Lucy died at a young age of cancer, probably around 1912, but I cannot find a record of her death. I was at the Floyd County Recorder's Office and found nothing. Any ideas?

|Kaye||Alma Marie Kilby #70883484|
I believe that Alma Marie Kilby may be the infant daughter of Archie William and Marie Elizabeth (Aasgaard) Kilby. The 1910 US Federal Census shows them living in Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa and that Marie E. Kilby had 2 children with only 1 still living. Since they were married 27 Mar 1907 in Charles City, I have assumed that the child they lost was born and died in Charles City.
Your entry for Alma Marie Kilby seem to fit the possibilities for their first child. Would you have any info that might confirm Alma as their child? Any help would be appreciated.
