Benjamin Franklin Shinkle - question?

I see that you have a Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Shinkle that you wrote a bio for, etc. that was born in IL and died in KS. I have a question for you, assuming that you're a family member of this person.

I have a Benjamin Franklin Shinkle, Sr. born in Ohio in 1842, that was married to Emma Shinkle (who was 15 years his junior), and she died in Sacramento, CA in 1916. They had a son, Benjamin Franklin Shinkle, Jr. that was born in 1882, died in 1911 in Sacramento, CA. The guy that I have a memorial for is part of the IOOF Cemetery in Saratoga, CA. Until today, he only had a first initial and a last name, with birth and death years on his memorial. I have been going through all the nearly 1000 memorials I did for this cemetery (there's a whole story behind this cemetery that I could tell you about), and any of the memorials that have only a first initial and last name, I have been doing research on them to give them a full name and hopefully census info, etc. I am not related to anyone in this cemetery, but if you understand the whole story behind the cemetery, you would understand why I am doing this a bit, when I have some time.

So my question is - is this person a relative of the other Shinkles you have links for and wrote bios for? If yes and you had searched before, you would not have found this guy since it only had a first initial. Let me know.

By the way, "my" B. Shinkle is memorial #94045824.

I would very much like to transfer Memorial 149132992 for John H. Riesterer to you (or your sister?). A grand man answered my photo request for Eda Messenger Riesterer & included a photo for her husband, John. May I?

Ida Mae Cook Messenger
Hi Linda - Posted a death notice on your Find A Grave memorial to Ida Mae Cook Messenger #15712359. Her husband Elmer Truman Messenger is #10477548 buried in Oregon. Wonder if you would mind linking these folks. His second wife was Mary (?) #10477542 also buried in Oregon. Have asked that contributor to link also. Working on their five children now. Found three so far. Are you related? I see in the death notice of Ida Mae that she died at the Pence Hospital. Wonder where that hospital was located? Thanks. Bill

Netti Schreiner-Yantis
Desc. or Nancy Finch, dau of Thomas Hamiliton & Elitha
I was so pleased to find the information on Thomas Hamilton Finch. You have my ancestor on your chart, but show further information as "unknown." I can fill in information on her for anyone who is interested. She probably never married him, but had five children by Job Evans. In his will, Job's father mentions distributing his stock among his grandchildren including "even Job's children." Job & Nancy's fist child was a son named Volney Evans/Finch. My grandmother met Volney and said he was very vain about his hair which hung to his shoulders in waves. I met a relative of Job's and she gave me a lock of this hair which was indeed very long and wavy. Looked just like Thomas Hamilton Finch, Sr's! My grandmother had inherited it, as well, and was just as proud. Unfortunately, the gene for that beautiful hair was not passed on to me. I have dates of birth and most marriages and deaths of this family. My own family lived in Indiana; Job Evans and Nancy Finch lived in Wayne County, IN when they first co-habited. Nancy died in Preble County, Ohio. I don't know where Job's body is buried--the last I have of him was a record that he was in the poor house [served him right as he had deserted Nancy and their five children when they were young!] at Eaton (Preble Co) Ohio, aged 88 years.
