Samuel J McNeese tombstone
Hi Kelly!
Thanks for all your work and Samuel's tombstone photo! He is my 5th-g-grandfather & I'm a long-time researcher/addict. Anyway, we are vacationing in Gatlinburg in March and want to visit his burial place and wondered if you could narrow down his & his family's location within the cemetery since we need to be quick hopping off and on 81 on our way (5 kids in tow on 13hr drive). Also, any advice for finding the cemetery or is it pretty straight-forward? Again, thanks so much!
Holly

P.S. Here is a link to my line with all I now know:

Find A Grave Transfers
Thank you for making the original memorials for Ethel Hendrickson Carter, Edith L. Hendricks Hendrickson and Norman H. Hendrickson. I appreciate your honoring my request to transfer the memorials to me. I have added a substantial amount of information to each memorial. In the Find A Grave memorial for Ethel Hendrickson Carter, you added some information. I left that information in the revised memorial and gave you credit for doing the input. All the best in your research.

RE: John Blakemore Bragg
Happy 4th of July Kelly,
Thank you for offering the transfer on management to me for John Blakemore Bragg. You can transfer with my appreciation. As you already know, there are many pioneers who have settled this country and it's territories with conflicts they did not anticipate, afflictions of Cholera and Yellow Fever included. I commend you on your early start at bringing the forgotten forward into daylight. Your friend and with much respect, John Blakemore Sellers

Spelling errors
Sorry for the spelling errors. I use a virtual keypad on my iPad, and it often has a mind of it's own. Lol. My Mom called me just as I was finishing, and I did not get to proof read; hope you can make sense.
Thanks,
Bryan.

RE: Elmer Hayes
Well thank you Kelly, you are just the kind of people I hoped to interact with here, kind and very gracious, you are.
I also Enjoy your sharing info about your family.
My maternal side goes back to at least the very early 1800's in The Springfield area. My maternal grandparents, names Hays and. Mc Call both grew up in Willard.
My grandma Florence talked of the Johnsons very frequentl. She was bored in 1913, and left with my grandfather, Calvi Sawywe (Buster ) Hays in 1946, for Southern Ca.
I wish she was still here, so I could ask her more about that, she died in 2007, in my care. I'll have to ask my Mom.
I listened to much of what my grandma said; wish I'd been wise enough to write it all down; at sixty, my memory is not as sharp as it once was. Of course that is why I am actively archieving thousand of pictures, letters, etc., so I don't have to rely on my memory as I get old.
Again, you are most kind, I will card for Uncle Rlmer as if he were my blood.
When you go to That cemetery, would you look to see if His wife, my grt aunt Jewel is there. She just does not show up anywhere.
Thank you,
Harold Calvin " Bryan" Franks

RE: Elmer Hayes
Kelly,
I'm new at this and I think I may need to transfer this back to you. I did look at your memorials and honestly thought that you were not related to Uncle Elmer, or I would not have asked, because, I am only related by marriage. His wife, Jewel was my great aunt, daughter to Calvin Porter Hays and Lillie Sawyer Hays.
I do have warm feeling for both of them, even though I never met either; well, when I was a baby, once.
My Mom, Mary (Hays) Franks, adored Uncle Elmer. My Grandma Florence ( McCall) Hays, also spoke of both often. Jewel was my Grandpa Calvin Sawyer (Buster) Hays' sister.
Anyway, sounds like you have closer ties to Elmer, than I.
If you don't mind though, I will enhance the memorial some before returning it to you. I believe I can find some awesome pictures of them both. I may also have some of there children. Which one are you related to?
You may also have noticed that the two girls were named for my Grandma, Florence Elizabeth Hays. Jewel loved my grandma dearly, even if they were not blood either.
To bad Jewel's marker has never been photographed.
Thanks, let me know if my purposal is OK, because if you want me to transfer right away, I will do so. I am all about building strong supportive sharing friendships here on, Search A Grave.
Thanks again,
Harold

RE: Photo of Flora Jane
Hi Kelly, Thank you for correcting the photo of my great grandmother, Lou Olive Burney. I too have photos that I am not sure of exactly who they are. My 1st Cousin & I are trying to work through them. I have just now got back into working on my family history. I was glad to locate the Find A Grave website although I'm not sure exactly how it works, so if you have any pointers I would appreciate it. I am very excited about putting all the pieces together of the family. Thank you again.

Photo of Flora Jane
The photo posted here for Flora Jane is not correct. This is a photo of Lou Olive Burney Trogdon when she was 16 years old. She is my great grandmother. Lou Olive would have been Flora Jane's aunt. Lou Olive is also buried at Johns Chapel.

Your memorial:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=richards&GSiman=1&GScid=31188&GRid=64005134&

I want to alert you that I am adding a headstone photo on your memorial for David Richards. Please take notice that the birth date on your memorial (based, I assume, on the death certificate) is not the same as what is on the headstone.

I leave it to you to make a note indicating the discrepancy, if you so desire.

More info: MO d.c. #31449, Informant Nancy J. Jackson (widow of John S.C. Jackson (Edward's brother), of Republic, MO).

Hello Kelly Robbins,
Would you please ask the find-a-grave programmers to add one line after each edit, for Ref:

This having to communicate everything twice, once for the info and yet again for the Reference is getting tiresome. The two communications also get sent to different places: Edit ends-up under the edit tab and the second for Reference gets sent either to copy-of-email or under Messages, such as this one.

Help! Please. Thank you, B.
