I just today finished the flat stones for section I of Mount Calvery. I did not see Mary Graber. There are a lot of sunken ones. I got as many as I could. I haven't done the tall stones yet. I plan on doing those over the winter. So don't give up hope.

Are you a descendant of Nils' stepson? If so, I would like to be in contact with to see if you could help identify Nils in some photos. My mother was his niece and I am in contact with Nils' nieces and nephews in Sweden and the US.

RE: Hancock's Graves
I check with a lady who is married to a long line of hancocks, she suggested LaPlata united med. Cem. in Dentsville. She said a lot of her husbands's family are buried there. Also I would check with the Charles Co. Historical Society as to how they they have the names in the cemetary's records as the office had no records. Also the office is usually open on sunday mornings.

Yes it was Richard and Sarah I was looking for. I will check with a Hancock that I work with, her family has been around a while and let you know what I find out.

Hancock Grave
I walked the entire area with no luck. The office was open, a check of the files showed no Hancocks buried there. I work with some Hancocks and can ask if they may be related. Any idea of where in the county they lived? I work down here and can look a bit more if giev possible areas to check.

Colonia Dublan Cemetery
I noticed that you had taken a lot of photographs in the Colonia Dublan cemetery. I wondered if you lived in the area or had just visited. My husband's 2x great grandfather, George Lake (1838-1898) lived in the area and according to family oral history was buried there. If you live in the area, would you be willing to take a look for me?

Thanks for all you do for Find A Grave.

I'm not sure what to do about the duplicate for Gail. Mine is in the cemetery and the other is not. I don't think they can add a cemetery to their memorial after the fact (unless findagrave has added that edit). Also it does not have the some other info. It has a great obit and lovely photo. But all I could do is add their info to mine which isn't fair. It would be better if they created their memorial under the cemetery and then I could add my photo of the memorial to their site and delete mine. If I delete mine now, it won't show up in the cemetery anywhere. I always check for dups and I just didn't find this one because it is not under the cemetery. So I suggest you get in touch with the other person, have them put the memorial under the cemetery. Then I will delete mine. Mary

re: Find A Grave Photo Request: All Saints Episcopal Church Cemetery
I would be happy to help, but info on the church's website states:

"All Saints Episcopal Church in Phoenix, AZ has a Close where ashes are buried in the earth and a memorial plaque is placed on a wall."

so there is no actual headstone to be photographed.

Here is another link to the site showing the Close area:

These requests were for pictures of the graves of:
Janet Nichols Gilbert Alsever
John Bellows Alsever

George Bailey in Arlington
My apologies for the "duplicate". I created the memorial within a month of his reburial in Arlington which took place in March 2011. I spend many days each week at Arlington and at that time was entering the daily burials and uploading to find-a-grave as soon as the plot location was published. At that time there was no memorial for him in Arlington. I'm guessing you had his memorial in Annapolis where he was originally buried. Anyways, I've deleted mine. If you happen to move a memorial between cemeteries again, you should check first to see if one is already there. That way there wouldn't have been two out there for so long.

RE: William Carroll and James McClellan
I sure will and I am not sure either why he isn't mentioned or the daughters. I will continue to research the McClellans, my main goal is to link with documents to prove that my great great grandfather William Valentine McClellan is James brother William McClellan son of Hugh McClellan and Mary Polly McCall. Some trees believe that Abraham McClellan and Nancy Moss are his parents, but I believe their son is William M. McClellan. William Valentine married Lucinda Akers.

I am finding the info on James and his family very interesting. If I find anything else I will let you know and if you happen upon anything on William Valentine McClellan please keep me in mind.

RE: William Carroll and James McClellan
Thank you for the links, I did not have the death certificates. I did look at the 1880, 1900 and 1910 census for Elsie Jane and she is listed as HOH and married but no husband, William and Almeda as well as James and Lydia are living in other locations. I really appreciate your help.

Take care

RE: William Carroll and James McClellan
Thank you for your answer and here is the link for 70 Quorum for James

I have seen the headstone of Elsie Jane McClellan but it does not mention who is her husband being it is a single headstone. I am not very familiar with the Mormon religion could it be that Elsie Jane Richardson was sealed to James, but not a spouse as stated? Because I also found info saying 2 deceased woman Elizabeth and Mary Ann Stewart were sealed to him, but they also are listed as wives.

I will check out the links you supplied. Thank you so much.

William Carroll and James McClellan
I am researching my 3rd great-grandfather William McClellan that is the brother of James McClellan father of William Carroll McClellan. I have some conflicting information I would like to share with you. James McClellan's Seventy Quorum Membership document 1846 lists Elsie Jane Richardson as one of his wives and they have 8 children Laura 1873, Wilford 1876, Lorenzo 1876, Orson 1881, Joseph 1884, Minerva 1887, Lois 1891 and Alta 1893. Elsie Jane wasn't born till 1848. James other wives are Cynthia Stewart, they had 12 children, Mary Magdalena Gahler, Lydia Knight, Ann Shaw, Elizabeth Stewart and Mary Ann Stewart. That being said there is a Pioneer Immigrants to Utah document for William Carroll McClellan listing his 2 wives as Almeda Day and Elsie Jane Richardson, the document states they entered the Salt Lake Valley 27 Jul 1847, but Elsie Jane wasn't born until 1848. The marriage I have seen for Elsie Jane Richardson weather to James or William Carroll is 14 Apr 1873, so neither were married to her at the dates mentioned on the documents. So I am confused to whom she is actually married to, do you have any other documentation on her other than what I have mentioned?

RE: John Hancock
All that was determined was that he is not in that lot WITH a marker. Is he even in that spot? Could he be elsewhere? With a marker? Could he be close by with a marker that is buried? Who knows? Seems like some detective work is in order. Happens all the time. This is a broad area with the Hancock folks all over it but not next to each other by any means.
The Donn family is close but not on top of anyone either. Again, there needs to be some examination of the possibilities here. Compare what the office says with what you have. Might be some differences.
