Thank you so much for your efforts. A nice photo, well done. Unfortunately, our fears were confirmed, the funeral home has never finished the head stone. Laura passed away in 2005. Thank you so much for your efforts.

|George Rogers Park||RE: Archibald Rogers|
you have a lot of duplicates which you entered in these cemeteries. Find A Grave frowns on duplicates and may even revoke privliges for creating them. I sent a note to the other person who created the originals to see if he would delete in favor of yours but he responded in the negative.
please either move your photos, and get the owner to update dates/places to the original memorials, or you can even request the owner transfer management to you if your relationship is closer, which I suspect that it is.
all of these duplicates create confusion for others.
Please advise me what your decision is, as my notations are for your memorials and not the originals, as yours had photos.
now regarding the demographic data. Phillips' birth/death dates are based on 2 records: SSDI shows his actual birthdate and this is more or less confirmed by the 1920 census which records him living in the home and being 2 years old. Oftentimes the people who purchase and give the dates for headstones are not familiar with the correct information and give wrong dates to the headstone engraver. Just because someone carves something in granite does not make it true.
Also, if you look at the 1920 census for his parents you will see his mother, Sarah, there in the household. Feel free to obtain either Sarah, William or Phillip's death certificate. I am sure that all 3 will confirm the relationship. But this is a duplicate memorial anyway and needs to be deleted in favor of the original.

Oscar Archibald Rogers (Find A Grave 39966507) & wife Sarah Jones
Archibald Rogers - Find A Grave 39966507
Eleandor - ?
I believe Archibald to be the son of James Rogers (1772-?) - Find A Grave 49746551
and he the son of Robert David Rogers (Find A Grave 44808039) & Frances Jackson Russell.
DNA from several different members is needed to verify this linkage. If your DNA type could match up with my 1st cousin's then we could have a good start, or it may prove your ancestry to be a different line. I am still seeking a Rogers male from the Waynesville area to also perform the test. The more Rogers males we have taking the test, the more likely it will be that our heritage can become a proven fact.

ancestry.com offers the opportunity to do the dna test on their site. cost about $180. I know that is a lot, but the answers it reveals about your history are very rewarding and links to others with the same history are easily researched and connected to.
I paid for my 1st cousin to take the test and it is allowing me to narrow my search for other Rogers family.

The memorial appears to be linked up already. Is there more you would like added?

can you share your family tree with me? You are part of the Rogers family that I am researching.
send to firstname.lastname@example.org
have you taken the Ancestry DNA test? If not, I encourage you to do so, as I am trying to get a family member from your branch to confirm linkage.
my branch is haplogroup R1b with 46 markers.
