Thanks for letting me know on the duplication. I removed the duplicate I had made. You can now add the other memorial linking her to her son, Luther Garn Von Thurn # 149830688 to the original memorial.

Jane Thompson Beacom
Jane may have been born much earlier than 1880. It's unlikely that she had 10 children if she died at 14 years old.

Phelps family
Question: I see on the 1860 census for Cass Co. that George and Mary have their first baby born in Michigan, and that is Leander, who is 5 months old on the census. The census was done July 12, 1860, so I figured that 1857-1860 was the time frame they might have come from Canada.

Lewis is the next child up from Leander and he was born 1857 in Canada and Sarah is not on this census, having died 1859 in Michigan. However, Lovicy Jane died on Christmas day 1857 and is buried in Dowagiac, so I think they immigrated from Canada in 1857 when Lewis was a baby. However, Sarah was born 1858 in Canada and died in Michigan so they couldn't have immigrated in 1857. So you can see I'm really confused. HELP!

George Phelps
Thanks for telling me about George. I must have gotten this batch of Phelps people from Find a Grave admin. because I have never heard of this cemetery & can't remember adding people to it. I don't know where I would have even gotten information to add this family since I haven't seen any records on them. Sometimes AJ @ Find A Grave gives me pages from deceased, banned, or inactive contributors to maintain and they will have my name but I have no clue where they came from. I removed George from S. Wayne Cemetery per your additional information. Thanks again!

I've deleted the memorial I had created for him. If you need any other help I'll see what I can do for you. I hope you use the seeking michigan site, the advanced part is really great, makes it a lot easier to find someone. If you ever have trouble using it drop me a line with names and I'll see what I can find for you. Have a Blessed Week.

You can find info like I found on Mark on family there is also another site that can be very helpful there you can get copies of death certificates from 1897-1920. If you'd like I can delete my memorial of him since you already have so many family connections of him connected. Your welcome to copy and use the info I had found on him before I delete mine. RE: Your memorials
I maintain memorials so that my ancestors will be properly remembered. It will be all too soon when all of those who knew my family in a personal way will be gone, along with their memories. Nothing will remain but the written history. I feel we honor our ancestors in some small way simply by remembering them. Thanks to all those who provided information.
