Patrick Henry Pentzer
Don't know if you're aware, but Wikipedia has pages dedicated to the Medal of Honor recipients. Even though Patrick Henry Pentzer (memorial #19580) is listed there is nothing submitted regarding his service and reason for being a recipient. Thought you'd might like to submit your info from his memorial. He is one of three who were recipients that had ties to Macoupin Co IL. One of the other two (David Dickie) has info linked to his name and I am working on the other one (Richard H Wood).

FRANCIS W. REEDER
I am not related to Francis W. Reeder. I just had a copy of his obit and his birth date and noticed that the death year was incorrect, so I sent thru what changes I had available to me.

Sir, I attempted to add a correction to the above named memorial and the county list(s) of counties in Ireland won't let me pick the county of Antrim or the county of Down in Ireland. Apparently these 2 counties are the only counties listed for the city of Belfast Ireland. I searched "EVERY" county listed and none came up with the city of Belfast. The memorial number is 71604260. This was driving me crazy. Thank you for your help.

Tim

Corp. William F. Steinmetz
Since it's your photo on the Memorial for Corp Steinmetz, why don't you just download it and then upload it to the other two Memorials. William is at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=14634392
and his two daughters are linked to him(Mary D and Clarissa B). :-)

Corp. William F. Steinmetz
Russ,
I sent you an email asking you please post your photograph of the gravestone you had posted on Corp. Steinmetz' Memorial to the Memorials of his two daughters who are listed on the same headstone. You replied by asking me, "Is he an ancestor of yours?" and I replied, "...very distant ancestor/relative of a paternal uncle's wife..." Am I correct in assuming that, since he is not related directly to me and since the Memorials were not established by me, you are not going to post your photograph on the Memorials for his daughters Mary D. and Clarissa B. Steinmetz?

Lost Password
Russ,

My mother is a contributor to the Find A Grave website and has been for a few years now. Recently she had a computer glitch and is unable to access her account. She does not know the password to her account and the email address she used when setting up the account has been disabled by Yahoo for inactivity. She swears she had changed the email on the account to her new email(she's 73 and not getting any younger). When I attempt to do a password recovery, it does not recognize the new email address, but when I try to recover using the original email address(the disabled one), it send an email to the old password. She can't access that email because it's disabled.

What can we do to get access to her account? Please help if you can. She's driving me crazy!

Bing Crosby's Daughter
Susan Ham Black Bond. #15887798
I believe if you go take a look at Memorial you will find that this Can Not Be his Daughter. she was born (1828) before Bing was born (1903).She was Born before either of Bing's parents were born. Harry Crosby (1870) Catherine Crosby (1872).
I believe that this mistake needs to be corrected ASAP, please.
thank you , janey

# 805 Oliver Hazard Perry
There is no good image of O.H. Perry in the closed photo set at his memorial site. I have a very good one that I would like to post in lieu of the very small image that lacks any detail. It is a cropped version of the image at this link:

Russ,
Thanks for responding - I'm sure you're super busy! Lol - by 1812 Joseph had earned his "desk job". Let me know if you are short of time and want me to write the bio. I appreciate your response.

Joseph Bloomfield #4820
Russ,
Joseph served in the 3rd NJ Regiment in the Continental Army with my 4x great-grandfather Timothy Sexton. He was wounded in the Battle of Brandywine. I think your bio makes it sound as if he was a paper-pusher who was never in a real battle and maybe it should be fleshed out a bit to include more details. :) I am inspired by your Civil War Virtual Cemeteries, so I am beginning one for the NJ 3rd Continental Army. Thanks.

My pleasure. I visited Laurel Hill Cemetery for the first time last week. I didn't know that it was your "home base." I would have called and tried to get together with you.

Your email
Russ, I don't know if it is connected in anyway with the software issues mentioned by others, but I tried to send you an email to your Find A Grave address and it keeps coming back. I tried info@findagrave and it seems to have gone through.

On a separate note, I want to call your attention to two ACW Union Surgeons not currently in your VC. Charles McMillan (Memorial #49256987) and William DeLong (Memorial #124420536)

I went to use the Famous Grave search and the name I put in was the last on the list. I put in Bruce Lee and a bunch of other graves came up. Nothing similar.

Sorry for the bad news. Jayne

Just a note to let you know that the place of burial is Oslo Western Civil Cemetery in Oslo, Norway.

Also, the memorial is active for people to make corrections that shouldn't be touching it.

Thanks! Have a great day! Jayne

Findagrave disaster
Russ, the person second down from this message is absolutely correct. I cannot believe the mess that is being made to the memorials. One father, one (wife) mother, and a lot of the children suddenly have double asterisks after their names. Have you any idea about what is going on? Often a man and his wife's names show up twice in the parents' linking area. This started with the new impersonal Edit capability. Is help on the way?
