You would have to send the link request through findagrave as they hold the memorial for Marion's grave.

Thanks

Joe
I also forgot to mention that I am working on a list of about 7000 records around 4000 of those are new records for the Evergreen Cemetery in Yreka. That is also one of my hobbies.

Duplicate Records
Joe I sure hope that correcting other people entries is not my hobby I make enough mistakes of my own. I have been working on Siskiyou County because that is where my family came from and I wanted to find out more than the few stories that my dad told us. Yesterday I found a story about (Richard Wharton Mannon Uncle Dick) Evergreen Cemetery Yreka, CA. that talks about him killing a panther that attacked a little boy. My sister and I both remember dad telling us the shotgun I now have is the gun that was used to kill a panther that attacked a little boy in Siskiyou Co. I believe this story and my dads are about the same event this is my hobby.

Walter G. Rice
Hi Joe, Thank you so much for the quick response on the photo of Walter Rice. I am working on a booklet, to go along with a local Vietnam Veterans traveling wall. May I have permission to use your photo of his memorial, in the booklet, that travels with the local wall?

Keep up the great work you are doing at preserving history.

RE: Robert Ballou Brooks
He was a football star at Los Angeles High School at the time of his murder. His father was a noted Los Angeles attorney. Ballou was 16.

Nope, it wasn't a matter of looking harder, or even looking! I was with a group that goes to Glen Haven about once a month with our digital cameras. We pick a section and each person takes a row — and snap-snap-snap until we reach the end (or get tired) and come home and post the pix on Find a Grave. Glad I could be of service!

Interesting notes you added. Here is a photo of Barbara Jepsen's grave marker, which should indicate that she is indeed buried at Glen Haven.

Marianne Tong
William Wong
Hello Joe,
I'm the wife of one of William's first cousins. William's father and my husband's mother Suey Ping Tong (Wong) were two of eight siblings. I was adding some burial records when I came across William's memorial. I have added both his mother and his father who are also buried at Rose Hills. I wanted to link those two to William's memorial, but I couldn't find the button to link them.
Here are the names of his parents in case you would like to add them:
George Washington (Sum Gong) Wong 1914-2001
Ng Yow Wan Wong 1919-2001

Woodlawn Cemetery - Compton
Hi Joe. Another group of us is going to be at Woodlawn again this Saturday (I'll be there at 10:00, others at 9:00). I was wondering if you would like to be on an email list (a yahoo group) to receive invitations, messages, etc. regarding this venture. We are planning future dates in July. Let me know if you are interested and I will have the moderator of the group send you an invitation.

Take care,
Bonnie

RE: Robin and Cecilia
I agree with your statement. Cecilia and Robin were my cousins & while I was about the same age as Cecilia when this happened, I remember the sad time and how our family suffered so deeply. I know my Mom has newspaper clippings from the tragedy, including the trial. I need to ask her to find them for me, just to refresh my memory. If they had all the DNA and scientific tools back then, I believe the outcome would have been much different.

RE: Woodlawn in Compton?
Hi Joe. I've had some communication problems with e-mail but I have a confirmation from 3 other people for May 26.

I don't know if anyone can do it on such short notice! I may be able to come, but I am not familiar with those cemeteries. Are they here in L.A. County?

RE: Pvt Gavino G Rodriguez
We live about 15 miles from it, but we rarely go anymore. They don't like giving out locations and really discourage pictures. Their security chases you off if they see you taking photos.

Max Franc, Jr.
If indeed he is buried there at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, then he is there without a marker. Terrible or not, his family should have given him one.
You take Wisconsin's infamous man Ed Gein - he has a gravestone. The Hollywood film Psycho was based upon Ed Gein of Plainfield, Wis.
