William Selman of Upson County, GA
Greetings Mr. Franklin,

For many years, I have been researching my Selman and Middlebrooks families of Upson County, GA. I was going through some papers last night and saw that a relative had written many years ago the following about our William Selman, a veteran of the American Revolution:

"The origin of 'Franklin Place' is derived from [a] deed to William P. Franklin. The local DAR of Upson County, Ga. has records that show William Selman was buried on the Old Franklin Place near Antioch Church."

Have you ever seen a reference to a grave or cemetery on this property? Any information is appreciated.

Youngs in SC
What a wonderful website you have honoriing your family.

I am researching my Young lineage.
John Young(1775-6) married to SARAH (I am attempting to verify the name Mary Sarah Beckitt/Beckett/Bickett) from SC.

John & Sarah: Jospeh Young, Daniel Young, My ancestor GREEN YOUNG (1805-SC) & his brother WILEY YOUNG (1800-SC)

Land documents show this family in MISSISSIPPI TERRITORY 1816. 1840-1870 Census show Green Young in Clarke County MS, his mother SARAH adjacent. Wiley migrated from Clarke County,MS into Wayne County, MS. Wiley married Judy Crane.

Green & Sarah: son: Alexander Young-my ancestor.
Alexander Young(MS to Mobile,Al.) Returned to Jackson,MS and served the CONF. IN MS CALVARY.
Would any of these names be familar to your Young Research?

Carol Ann Henderson Young.
