We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

|Genevieve||Robert and Mary Ann Henthorn Jackson|
Luanne, I'm curious if there could be a connection in Ancestry .
I began researching over a year ago, I have traced a Robert Jackson who could be my husband's 4th great-grandfather who was born in 1733, died in 1809, married Mary Ann Henthorn in 1756. There are questions about the dates on his headstone, what I'm trying to find out is could, my Robert Jackson have been the man who married your Mary Ann Henthorn? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

|Helen Webster||Daniel and Charity Henthorn|
Hello, thank you for the work you have been doing for so long. My mother was Alma Leta Naylor Perkins Buchanan. Her Parents were Fred Daniel Naylor and Mary B Stewart Naylor. His parents were Charles Seymore Naylor and Nancy Elanor Amos Henthorn. Nancy Elanor Amos was living with Daniel and Charity Henthorn in the 1880 Census for Steele Dist, Wood County WV. P46 family 410. She was 10 yrs old and listed as a domestic at that time. Lore says she was adopted by the Henthorn's but I am not able to find the link that bridges this together. Is this something you have run across in the past. Thank you for the work you have been doing and any assistance you may be able to give me.

Hi, Luanne.. Wondered if you have any information on Martha's husband, Lee Haven Long. I believe he is the son of my third great granduncle, John Long. John was the son of James and Mary Frances (Burge) Long. I just received a copy of Lee Haven's obituary from the Madison County IN Historical Society. Would love to hear from you. :D

Your email link does not work at greyface.com as mentioned by another contributor. Can you please email me at JohnWalker93@inbox.com on the lady of the subject. You would not believe how long it has taken to track her down and her siblings and parents. Oberlin has not been friendly in researching this family.

|Connie Mosteller||Arthur William Henthorn|
Hi, I'm looking for information on Arthur's sister Pansy Henthorn who married Amos Tennant. Amos was institutionalized for about 13 years, but his death certificate said he was still married when he died. I was wondering if you know if she remarried after his death, divorced him while he was in the institution, or died while he was institutionalized, or died his widow later on? I would really appreciate any help you might be able give me. Thank you, Connie

Most of my part of the family spell it Layman, but I also have seen both.When you get back to the 1700's it becomes Lehman or Lehmann.

Seems we have a little in common. James Vernon's (26961725)daughter Emma (100765290)married my great grandmothers brother, John Martin (11788049), then after his death she married my grandfather, Andrew Layman. My mother was only 5 when her mother dies and she lived with her father's sister most the time. Any information or pictures I do not have would be greatly appreciated. I would be happy to share anything I have.

|Marybeth Henthorn||Memorial #73564133|
Do you have documentation that John Henthorn is buried in the Lowe Cemetery in Wetzel County WV?
We checked the Cemetery but did not find a marker but that may not be unusual since he passed in 1908.

Hi- I am inquiring on a memorial #75440612.
I am researching the Kimmell family- and came across your memorial. You mention in David's bio his 2nd wife is Lydia Bensee -married 22 Feb 1852 in Stark Co., OH and together they had 7 children.
- from records I am seeing- her maiden name was Kimmell- don't see that she was married to a Bensee
and I see they had 8 children. But the marriage records match as to date and location-other then her last name??? If you have any other info- could you please let me know. Thanks.

I just happened upon this website by accident, and got quickly sucked in to finding relatives in the Oberlin Kansas Cemetery.
My grandfater was James Casper Vernon, and my mom was Linda Ann Vernon. It was just a neat realization when you said you have family in the Vernon line...and then my brain almost exploded because I was trying to figure out all the, how would we be related stuff! :)
I have an old chart that I somehow got possession of when my mom passed away that follows back on my grandmother's side (Velda May Vernon (Harger)), and one of these days I'm going to open it up and learn more.
Anyway, long message, not sure if you use this site anymore...but it was just really neat to see the connection. Have a great day!

|Janice Dyer Doran||Thank you|
Luanne, I just read your bio and appreciate what you said so much....just wanted you to know how you have so perfectly penned a lot of our feelings. We may feel that our "family" is not interested in genealogy, but one day they will be. That's why what you said is so true, it's up to us to keep that "leaf and branch" connected to that tree.
