I was wondering who I could find to check into finding my password for findagrave. I have been a member for almost as long as findagrave has been here. So far, everything is doing okay. Just in case I get somewhere and have to have my password, though, I can't remember it. I have a feeling of what it could be, but not really sure.
Thanks so much for any and all help.

We have gone through this before. You have copies of just about all of the cemeteries. They do not belong to you. Readings sent by Duke, William Pridemore, saving records for our future are just a few of the people that submitted information that belongs to me. I want them removed!!!!! I am so happy for you that you make money from this. I have built a website with over 16,000 pages and worked hard at it. You just lift the things you want and have no ethics whatsoever.

Duplicates
I have been a member of this site for 5 1/2 years. I usually go to cemeteries, photograph all of the graves, compare my photos to the records on Find A Grave, and create memorials for those who aren't listed. I have physical limitations and this is not easy for me to do, but I have a love for doing it. The fact that I go to all this trouble and some members simply create duplicates without even attempting to get a transfer really irritates me. I have come into contact with several of these individuals who refuse to cooperate and disregard the rules. I understand when people make duplicates by accident ( I've created many myself). I always, without question, delete my duplicates when someone points one out to me. It doesn't matter if they're related to me or anything--it's a duplicate and just clutters everything up. Also, it's disrespectful to the hard work of others. I really wish there was something in place that would either prevent duplicates from being created or someone who could police things properly. I've sent messages in the past concerning several of these individuals but have received no response. I'm not even sure who I should send this information to so I'm sending it to several of the administrators. I have read that Find A Grave administrators don't want to get involved in the disputes between members. I don't know if this is true, but I hope it isn't. I've worked countless hours on this site to make things available to others. I've even taken 1743 volunteer photographs. Most of the problem people have contributed relatively small contributions. There really needs to be something in place to address problems between members. It gets very discouraging to me at least and sometimes I wonder if I should just quit.

So, I'm sending all the "problems" I've encountered in recent years in hopes that you can help clean things up.

1. I have contacted David B. Hill (#46846740) for three consecutive months trying to get him to delete his duplicates, but he refuses to cooperate:

Mary Peden Harbison (78347114) created 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 41048977 created 8/23/2009.

Mrs. Jane Hemphill (78348436) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 39119829 created on 7/5/2009.

Mary E. Hemphill (78348632) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 43658878 created on 10/29/2009.

Sarah Hemphill (78348359) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 47294170 created on 1/29/2010.

Margaret Peden Hood (78347838) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 63240572 created on 12/22/2010.

Andrew Peden (78347370) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 39849285 created on 7/25/2009.

Catherine E. Peden (78348002) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 39849005 created on 7/25/2009.

David McCalla Peden (78347241) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 39849269 created on 7/25/2009.

Isabella Peden (78347541) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 39849353 created on 7/25/2009.

Margaret Hood Peden (78347296) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 41048716 created on 8/23/2009.

Thomas Peden (78347431) created on 10/13/2011 is a duplicate of 39849433 created on 7/25/2009.

Also in this same cemetery:

Burr Harrison Ragsdale (74314011) created on 8/2/2011 is a duplicate of 73655438 created on 7/20/2011.

Mozelle Elizabeth Ragsdale (74313628) created on 8/2/2011 is a duplicate of 51563042 created on 4/24/2010.

Lt. William H. Ragsdale (74313315) created on 8/2/2011 is a duplicate of 51562568 created on 4/24/2010.

Bishop Franklin Young (81660945) created on 12/7/2011 is a duplicate of 80721631 created on 11/19/2011.

2. Contributions of Crowburk (47462198) that are duplicates of my memorials (this person refuses to even respond to my messages):

Elizabeth J. Carnes Holden (99327986) created on 10/21/2012is a duplicate of 43396095 created on 10/22/2009.

Henry Holden (99343120) created on 10/21/2012 is a duplicate of 43395833 created on 10/22/2009.

Lou Elle Sims McCoy (99328489) created on 10/21/2012 is a duplicate of 51432046 created on 4/21/2010.

3. H. C. Ouzts (47627433) is a problem to several members. If you read some of the messages on his page, you'll see that he is a problem. I could not get him to eliminate his duplicate of my memorial.

Juanita Cobb Catoe Faulkner (94786171) created on 8/4/2012 is a duplicate of 45321490 created on 12/11/2009.

4. Steve Guthrie (47620971) has been very belligerent towards me. He refuses to delete his duplicate of my memorial:

James Alexander Powell Blackmon (79231265) created on 10/24/2011 is a duplicate of 50192279 created on 3/25/2010.

Grave memorial transfers
How can I get memorials transferred to me when I am not the direct descendant. I am a ggrand daughter of a brother of the descendant's family I want to link together. I am 89 and have a world of info I would like to pass on before my time is up. I am talking about the Bucklin Cemetery, Bucklin, Ford Co., Kansas I just found this brother located in Kansas. Some of his children were born in Ashland, Boyd Co., Ky. where I am located. The brother's name is Louis Christopher Fearing. Would appreciate any help you can give me. I am interested in the names of Hinkle and Powell. Thanks for any help you can give me. Margaret Bradley 47539063 Would be glad for you to check my record on Findagrave.com

Account Removal Request
It is not my wish for anyone to use this site as a personal soap-opera, because that is the only way the could find to communicate with me.

I hope the little that I have contributed will help those who want to remember something of their past and be able to pass on to their future. And, to do so with out reading through lines of "theatractics".

So, pleas honor my request, and remove my account. I recommend Member Earnie Wright to manage my additions.

It is with dignity and respect for this site, and it's efforts that I make this request.
Thank you
Danny L. Boone

No Response
Hi Bobb,

I have sent you and all of your associates an e-mail with a few questions. I sent it the second time to everyone on your staff at the e-mail addresses they have at Find A Grave. I had originally sent the inquiry to "AJ" because I was getting e-mails from him every day with requests connected to take photos for others. I just forwarded the same e-mail to you ALL of your associates again in hopes that you will respond.

I am very disappointed that you or none of your associates have responded to me. If my e-mail is caught somewhere in a "Spam" filter I can understand. Please check for several e-mails from biodiversity@skybest.com and let me hear from you. I am doing volunteer work for Find A Grave now but I don't see any benefit in further volunteer work if you can't respond to answer a few simple questions. That is why am trying this avenue to correspond with you.

Sincerely - Mark Lackey - Morganton, N.C.

Dear Mr Marik

about 5 days ago I noticed that my husband's photos have been removed from his memorial.

I am wondering who would have done this and why.

I don't have the original photos anylonger on digital so I cannot re post them onto the memorial.

Can you tell me what might have happened?

Why would anyone remove original memorial photos from someone's memorial.

How can I retrieve the original photos ?

I am deeply distressed about this.

Yours sincerely,

Catherine.

William Roper and Margaret More
Just to say that Margaret Roper (nee More) and her husband William Roper were buried, not in the churchyard of St. Dunstan's Church, Canterbury, but in the Roper Vault inside, and underneath the church floor. The head of Sir Thomas More is also buried there.

Sites I've created
Recently I have had time to return to Find-a-Grave and many sites have been altered, pics I took discarded for some one else...ie Barton Cemetery, Marshall Co...Fannie Bailey...my pic was clearer that is posted now...in fact some one posted pics on my Father grave and my pics on the back page, thankfully she removed hers...What gives? I am discouraged that my work is trashed and someone called anonymous has revised several of my cemeteries...Centerhill, Desoto Co, Ms.

Thanks, Evelyn

person won't transfer or even respond to my requests
Dear Robert,

I have asked Twist (#46920390) 3 times to transfer my uncle's memorial to me and he doesn't even respond. I explained he is my dad's brother. I have created a memorial but would like to delete mine and just have the one. I want to be able to edit it. The memorial I am talking about is Nick M Paquet # 38713520

Even if he is related somehow, it is distant! Find a Grave said it should be transferred to near relatives.

Please help!

Sincerely,

Jane Lapp

Sir Thomas More
Robert I see you have attached a photo of the memorial that Thomas More prepared for himself in Chelsea Old Church.
As you probably know Sir Thomas was never buried in the Church. After his execution in the Tower of London he was buried in the chapel of St. Perter ad Vincula in the Tower. His bones were later exhumed and put with others in a mass grave in the Tower where they remain.
Sir Thomas' first wife, Joan (Latin Joanna) Colt died in 1511 and was buried at the Church of St. Stephen Walbrook (at that time the family's parish church). Her body was transferred to Chelsea Old Church after the More family chapel had been built onto it.

Hi, Is there any way you can transfer or take over the memorials added by your contributor Jacques (#47057139)? He is INACTIVE and/or UNRESPONSIVE and you can see by posts on his page that he is completely inaccurate in the information he is adding. Thank you very much! Cindy
