I have been doing research on the Thompson and ran across the Thompson's Cemetery in North Carolina and was wondering if you are related to them.

I have linked my family to a Joseph and an Elizabeth Holmes Thompson. Would you happen to have any information that can help me confirm my link.

You can contact me at or through this web site.

Sandra, I can not find him. I looked in Restland at Cunningham and there is only one Cunningham coming up and it is yours. Go to the memorial and use the edit button and I can go right to it.

Sandra, You have the wrong person. You need to contact Doris about this matter. She is the one that made the memorial.

Stephanie Smith
Smith Family
Hello Sandra, I just became a member and wanted to share with you that you have Richard Smith 1794-1881 as a part of your photos of graves on your site. He is an ancestor of my husbands and I find searching for this family members quite interesting. I never knew he was buried just a few miles from where we live in McNairy Co., TN Richard seems to be the earliest I can find in the search. Any information you can share would be welcomed. Thanks, Stephanie Smith

RE: Modena Murphy Thompson
Good evening Miss Sandra,
Unfortunately I do not have any further information on Modena (nee Murphy) Thompson, just that she was the daughter of Lafayette & Virginia Murphy. I located and posted a picture of her grandfather, Capt. Dubart Murphy, on his memorial entry. If you click one farther generation back (Modena's great-grandfather) you will observe William Murphy, Jr's memorial entry. I have posted much information on his memorial entry and hyper-linked books from the old Murphy genealogy line.
I am from the line of William Murphy's son, John Crawford Murphy, down through his daughter Louisa (nee Murphy) Zolman.

2 Cemeteries at Wilson
I believe if you check, you will find that Hewitt Cemetrey is just East of Wilson, Oklahoma. The 2nd Cemetery, the one west of town is named Bomar Point Cemetery. thee is only one Hewitt Cemetery.

Hello Sandra!! I am so sorry for duplicates and to have not seen this message before now. I believe that King cemetery is located in Henderson County: Strange to have the cemetery listed in both counties?

Hi Sandra,
I just finished adding the rest of the known interments from your Thompson family cemetery in Alamance Co, NC and I am wrapping up adding the rest of the pictures. I thought some of them may be related to you so I figured you might be interested.

Lillian B & Lucille B Oliver
Hi Sandra,
Glad that it was figured out and you removed the one posted in error. Was sorta hoping for a more intriguing story on how they could look alike with similar names and birthdates. LOL

Take care,

Lillian B and Lucille B Oliver
I believe that these are two different people; both buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Lillian B Oliver (1917-1986) is #3039288 and Lucille B Oliver (1923-1980) is #3039289 but the same photo of a pretty lady has been posted on each page by you.

Not a big deal but just curious (can't be twins--different birth years.)

Take care,

Carolyn Bonds
Martin Line

I received your message at Find a Grave. Thank you for contacting me and I wish I could give you tons of photographs. Unfortunately, I don't have them. The genealogy I have on the Martins is posted at and I will happily share what I have with you.

My grandfather Newton Tatman Martin died when my father was only 4 and three months before my Aunt Mary was even born. He had brothers as did my Grandma Lucy Nall Martin who moved to Oklahoma and remained there. My father was born in Guymon, Oklahoma, but the family returned to Kentucky before my grandfather's death as did Grandfather Newton's brother, Clarence. There is little more I know about the family since my Grandma Lucy, Newton's wife re- married and moved to Illinois, losing contact with my father's paternal family.

Just let me know if you think I can be of any help to you. My e-mail address is

Thank you for the photograph of the entrance to Oakdale Citizens Cemetery. For those of us living out of the area it's always nice to get a feel for the cemetery through some general photos. -Nancy

Benson Headstone
I don't have a transcription of the Collins cemetery, but usually if there are people with the same last name near each other, I get them all. I doubt she is buried next to Robert Benson, because I probably would have photographed his headstone too.

RE: Oliver

I have not done as much research on my husbands family as my own. His Oliver line was from Alabama and before that- TN- SC- VA. I need to find more documentation on his ancestors. I just don't have enough proof on this line.

It's nice meeting you. I am still working on enumerating Kaufman. There will probably be 5000-6000 enumerated at the end. I am mainly interested in the old graves- I just don't want all these early settlers forgotten about. I am enumerating those graves first.

Take care and thanks for your kind response.
