Augustine Mitchell Davis is my maternal aunt. I see your page for her was added in Sep 2014. I added, and manage, a more detailed page for her in April 2014.

Forever Memories
Sterling Thornburg
Hi,I am a Thornburg relative. Sterling was my Grandfather's cousin. Thank you for posting the photo of him. We have a Thornburg Family & Friends Page on FB; would you mind if I share this photo? It is the first one I've seen and would love for the rest of the family to see it also. My Grandfather used to talk about Sterling all the time. I do understand if you do not want to share the photo; blessings, my friend.

RE: Hi
Hi Michael,

I stumbled upon the same photo a while back and when I seen it posted thought you might be related.

I don't know much about Janet Rashid's husbands family. I know his name was Charles and their is a memorial for him in St Josephs Cemetery Lansing.
#117655432. There's an obit there

I also have another Sawaya connection through my Great grandmother her name was Latife Sawaya. That's all the information I have for her. I'm led to believe she may have been from the Kfarhouna area near Jezzine.

I was born in Australia and live in Sydney, but my family is from Derdghaya in South Lebanon. Its a small village about 15km east of Tyre. Most of my family that emigrated in the early 1900's made there way to Michigan, predominantly Lansing and Flint. One branch went to Douglas in Arizona.

Anyway great to meet you and stay in contact, I'm more than happy to help with any research you have if you want.

Take care
Souheil Khoury

I noticed that you added a photo of Peter Rashid and his family to his memorial. I was wondering if you are related to him and where you got the photo.

Peter is my grandmothers uncle

take care

E Flynn
Joseph Leo Hayden
Hello. My name is Elizabeth Hayden Flynn and, through researching my paternal ancestry, I am fairly certain that Joseph Leo Hayden (1846 - 1916)and Louisa Booker Burgess (1849 - 1925) are my 2nd great grandparents through their son James R. Hayden (1888 - 1932). It was heartwarming to find several of my ancestors included on this site and I am quite grateful that you have included Joseph and Louisa's bios here.

James appears as the child of "L. Joseph and B. Louisa" Hayden on the Graves County 1900 US Census as "R. Jim Hayden age 11, birthdate September 1888". The reason I am contacting you is that James' Hayden is not listed as a child of James and Louisa on this site. I wonder if you have excluded James for some reason or if you would consider adding James R. Hayden as one of the Joseph/Louisa Hayden children.

Thank you for all of your time and effort on this site, and thank you again for including my ancestors.

With warm regards,
Liz Flynn

James Williams -Biloxi Cemetery
Please consider transferring this gentleman to me as i have much information to add for his family. The death date [1896] on his tombstone is off by one year as he died in 1895, as indicated from his obituary.
Thank you kindly,

RE: Mary Hyland Lucas
Hi Michael,
I have transferred your Aunt's memorial to you. It is always a pleasure to pass along a memorial I have made to a family member. I bet she was a good cook writing the cooking and recipe section for the Mayfield Messenger. I am sorry I was unable to find her birth date, but now you can fill in any missing information.
Best to you.

Hylands in St. John's Cemetery, Dividing Ridge
I saw your question on Sue's page.

I knew Alma and Cappy Hyland. I used to visit my grandparents out there and would see Alma and Cappy at Church. I remember that Alma played the organ at Saint John's.

Thanks, I appreciate your cooperation in trying to keep our cemeteries as correct as possible.
Reorganized Latter Day Saints and Comm. of Christ are one and the same, they had a name change a couple of years ago. But most of the 'old folks' still call it RLDS.:)

Elias Naaman 1852 - 1911
Just added Elias Naaman and his obit to Griffin Cemetery, Jackson Co MS. Believe he is the husband and father of the Namans you have listed in Mobile Catholic Cemetery. Will glady transfer ownership to you.

John Cassidy
Seeing that there is still a photo request for John in Woodland, I checked with the office and there is no record of him being buried there.

Chris Carrico
Thanks a ton, Michael.

It was cool to see pictures of my great-great grandparents, Will and Allie Carrico. I couldn't help but think that Will looked kind of like Ronnie Howard - must be the hair (or lack of it!)

I may pick up a copy of that book if I can find one. Thanks again.

Have a merry Christmas and happy new year!

John Cassidy
I was making a list of people in Woodland cemetery to photograph and noticed that there is an entry in the Cleveland Necrology file for a John Cassidy. He died in 1885 at the age of 53, like 'your' John Cassidy. He is listed as being buried in St. Johns Cemetery (which is across from Woodland Cemetery). Can this be your John?

Name: Cassidy, John C.
Date: 1885
Source: Cemetery record; Cleveland Necrology File, Reel #013.
Notes: age 53. St. John's Cemetery Cleveland, Ohio.

Old pictures
Thanks for getting in touch, Michael.

Cornelius and Teresa Carrico were my great-great-great-great grandparents. My male ancestry is as follows:

Cornelius 1798 - ????
Ignatius Francis 1834 - 1900
William Constantine 1861 - 1932
Joseph Haeseley 1893 - 1987
Thomas F. "Frank", Sr. 1920 - 1987
Thomas F., Jr. 1945 -
myself 1970 -

I don't know where Cornelius is buried or when he died. All of the rest are buried in St. Jerome's, except my granddad Frank. He's in St. Joseph's

If that book has any pictures of these guys and their families, and/or information about when and where Cornelius died, I'd be very interested.

Many thanks,

Chris Carrico
old St. Jerome's pictures

My real name is Chris Carrico, and I grew up near Fancy Farm, in Mayfield, KY. Many of my ancestors are buried in St Jerome's in Fancy Farm; my grandfather, mother, and sister are buried in St Joseph's in Mayfield.

I'm curious as to how you came by some of the old pictures you've posted, particularly of people buried in Fancy Farm. I'd love to know if there are any more of some of my ancestors.

I look forward to hearing from you-

Metamora, IL
