Can you tell me if you have any info on India Williams Osterbind. Who her parents were her grandparents were. Thank you...Gloria lefferts

No, Beth, I had not heard of Jean's passing and did not attend her funeral. Our family has regrettably been more or less estranged from the Eheart branch since the late 1930s.

|Ninevin ||RE: Hezekiah Archer memorial.|
I think I figured out the confusion here. I believe the Elder Allin archer is the same person that my record shows was Allin Arthur Archer. I didn't see anywhere that he was Allin Leroy Archer senior. It is a relief to know that we are both talking about the same man however.
Do you have handy any document that shows his name as Allin Leroy Archer senior? If so could you scan a copy of this into ancestry.com?
Thank you very much for your insight.

|Ninevin ||RE: Hezekiah Archer memorial.|
Thank you for sharing your information with me. However, all of my records list Allin Leroy Archer as being born in 1813 and Hezekiah Archer being born in 1823. If this is true I don't see how Allin Leroy could be Hezekiah's father.
My records also list Allin Arthur and Prudence Whitworth as the parents of both Allin Leroy and Hezekiah. My great grandfather is Philmer Wesley Archer.
I do see that Allin Leroy had a son who was Leroy Archer.

As requested, I posted a photo for Nellie Mae Higgason Fowlkes. I also saw Herbert L and Gracie W nearby. My question is do you want that photo?

I also have a photo of the Herbert and Gracie Higgason memorial. Shall I post that to the Fowlkes page?

Thanks Beth... must be a different line of Wallace's, I see no connection except the name Flay caught my eye. I'm still at a dead-end with mine, but thanks anyway! Rich.

Beth, Many thanks for the photos for Frank and Erma Stone. It was very important to see the photos included on the site. It is nice for me to look at the photos sometimes as I live in FL and because of age I am unable to travel to VA now. Again, thank you for taking the time and effort to take the photos.

I just want to say thank you for all this help. Did Peter have any children by his first wife? I have found your Thelma now. All these people seem to have cared for one another so much, no wonder you hope to find them. If you know where Gladys is buried, do say but it was startling to realise no one had in their trees Peter's first wife.
You have been talking to me across the pond, as I am in England so without your help it would taken me rather a time to learn of these other people. I will keep you updated if I find out anymore and hope others will benefit from our discussions, maybe the very people you would like to find.

Sorry to bother you again, I should have said that if Mr Carter was a veteran of the Civil War, then getting him a grave marker is cost free.

Hi Beth, I was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Boston, Virginia yesterday for the third time in the last month. I saw where you had requested a photo or Mr Carter's grave marker a few years ago and have tried all three times I have been in there to find his grave with no success. His marker may be gone if it ever existed. There are people who an help you get a marker for him if that is the case. There is no cost involved, other than the cost to set the stone. With your being a direct descendant of his, the process would be fairly simple to get a marker for him, but first you need to know exactly where his grave is by contacting someone with the city possibly to help you with that.

I contacted a family member regarding your question because I needed some confirmation and some help. Here is her answer
You are correct - we have not been able to confirm or deny that Wilhelm Feuerstein/Firestine had a brother named John. (Even according to Dr. Peter Feuerstein.)
By the way, if Beth Bond's John Firestine was born in Germany, then he is most likely not related. Our line of Feuerstein/Firestines are not from Germany, but are from RUSSIA.
It might be interesting to know more information from Beth Bond about her "John Firestine". (i.e. Birth & death dates and places.) I looked at Peter's tree from 2011 and he does list some Johann/Johannes/John Feuerstein. You could suggest that if Beth has access to ancestry.com that she search for family trees that belong to Dr. Peter Feuerstein. Tell her to search for Heinrich Feuerstein born between 1836 -1839 and married to Catharina. The trees have names such as a "Feuerstein-Firestone Stammbaum 4 July 2011", "Feuerstein Stammbaum 8 Oct 2008".

|SFG||Status of Maury Cemetery|
I see you attempted a photo request in 2014 at Maury cemetery in Richmond. Could you please give me your impression of your visit. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact anyone associated with Maury. Requests by letter and phone have not been returned. Could you tell if this cemetery is active or abandoned. Is there an on-site office with staff? Also, I'm not familiar with the area. Did you consider it to be a safe area to visit during your search? Thank you. I can be contacted at email@example.com
