Jon Donaldson
RE: Donaldson
It's been a lot of years since we last spoke. I moved to MO, got too busy to pay any more attention to this until now when one daughter wanted to get up to speed with it. Guess she figures at eighty the old boy is on borrowed time. I notice the family Bible is really deteriorating so I noted what was written in it and would be happy to forward it to you if you want to let me know your email address. Mine is I haven't been able to find anything on Elizabeth Young's family. Nice to see these cemeteries with nice listings, but know that is not complete. Fernwood and Greenlawn sites seem to be, but not as pretty as findagrave. Anyway I'm back in Florida for some time now 1 1/2 hour south of Orlando.

Spelling of Bazil's name
I misspelled the name Basil before because I was going from memory. I since dug the Donaldson family Bible out which I have seen for seventy five years and it was in poor condition even then. It appears to be signed by "Mr. Bazil Donaldson" and by "Mrs. Bazil Donaldson". Even though the ink is badly faded it is clearly "Bazil". It contains all of the other Bazil family members as well, some of them are barely visible anymore but were clear some years ago. I know this disagrees with the marker and I cannot explain that either. There is no copyright date in the book, but knowing what I know about it, I would estimate it to have belonged to Bazil and his wife Elizabeth.

And the family links keep coming...
I contacted the office and the baby's last name is Randall. He is the son of John 'Jack' P Randall (b. 1927), who is also buried at Memorial Park Cemetery. In the 1940 Census John P Randall is living with his grandparents, Alva and Mary [Maude] Huggins. AS [Alva Silas] Huggins is the lot owner for this family plot.

To sum it up, in this family plot is buried Albert and Florence Scott; their daughter and son-in-law, Maude [Mary] and Alva Huggins; and their gr-grandson, Baby Boy Randall.

RE: Florence Scott
In Section 38, Lot 130 there are six spaces. Space 1 is vacant, Space 2 is Martha Huggins, Space 3 is Alva Huggins, Space 4 is Baby Randall (not sure if Randall is a first or last name as I have not checked with the office. I added him with the last name of Randall until I can verify), Space 5 is Florence Scott, and Space 6 is Albert Scott. If you double click on the lot photo, the names can be easily read.

Now for some more family links. I added Maude Huggins to the cemetery listing after taking her photo and linked her to her husband, Alva. I transferred her page to the contributor who manages Alva's page as I felt she was related. In searching through FamilySearch, Maude is listed as Mary Huggins in census records. She was born in West Virginia. Given that she is in the same lot as Florence and Albert, she is probably their daughter. Per WV marriage records, MV Scott married AS Huggins on September 5, 1905 in West Virginia.

I will contact the cemetery regarding Baby Randall tomorrow and let you know what they said. He was born in 1953 so the probability that he is Florence or Maude's child is slim and none.

Glad to be paying it forward. Red

You are welcome. I am heading there tomorrow and will get a picture of the gravesite, no photo request required, they are on my list.

Bless you for sponsoring my mother's memorial page. I can't tell you how much this means to me. Red

RE: William and Ellenor Casebolt
I took those pictures in the summer of 1982. Now that I am retired I have more time for family history and thought it would be interesting to put those pictures on find a grave. Thank you for responding. It wasn't a lot of work, but it is gratifying that somebody else appreciates what is known about the Casebolt family. William and Elenor must be smiling knowing somebody is thinking and writing about them.:)

These people are not just 'memorials"
they are close family members and I do have a right to ask people not to use the photos.
I have had one person in particular give me a hard time and I felt I needed to add that.

I have also notified Find A Grave about them and merging duplicate memorials this person has made.

I would appreciate it if you would not start harassing me like another member just did.

You are so very, very welcome, Bill. Tagger is such a beautiful dog. His photo of him laying amidst the tulip tree petals is priceless. My heart goes out to you for your loss. I know you miss him dearly.
Have a great weekend. Fondly, Suse
