Just to say hello
Hi Candice how are you and the family doing?

You might know me as Tex Dix my membership page will explain it a bit.

Doesn't change our kinship through our "Bond" line. As it is my maternal line we are related on.

Just wanted to let you know I think of you often and the good work you have done in helping others.

I and I think many that we never hear from appreciate you and others like you that makes Find A Grave what it has become over the years.

You and yours have a great Easter.

Tex-

John W B Brashears
Is it possible John was actually born about 1908?

I am looking at the 1860 census and the family seems to be more or less intact, but J. Brashears is 52 and D. Brashears is 53.

I believe Elizabeth Brashears (E. Brashears 16yo in census, married her near neighbor William Newton Arthur whose fist wife died in 1862 (Apr 9). I believe he married Elizabeth 3 Aug 1862. He had many children under 10 which may explain the prompt remarriage and also the fact that Elizabeth expired 22 Jan 1863. Obviously they had no children. He is my great great grandfather through his third wife Elizabeth Jane Arthur.

James Kelly
Thank you for transferring my maternal great grandfather to me. There is very little known about James and his brother John, other than assuming they came from County Antrim, Ireland. James died in a mining accident, leaving his Jerome, Arizona estate to my grandmother, his minor child who resided in CA. Unfortunately, she was raised by her uncle and grandmother and died young, not knowing or sharing family genealogy. Diane

Marilyn Myers
Christina Meyers (Myers)
Thank you, Candice. My 3x ggrandmother Christina Myers could not be found in ancestry seaches after 1850 Indiana Census. Her husband Samuel and remaining children moved on to Iowa by 1860. I read the inscription from her stone you left. I will try to obtain a photo of her stone or marker. I left flowers and a note. My ancestry tree is Myers-Breen Family Tree. I am Marilyn Myers Metzger. Your work is very important and again thank you.

Candice, glad I could help you with your search. My husband has ancestors buried in Douglas. The last time I was there, I took several photos of other graves because I had noticed that there were not many posted on findagrave. The site has been transferred to you.
