John W Swartzel
I am wondering where you found that the death of John W Swartzel happened in Starke County, Indiana.
John Swartzell born in about 1790 in York County, PA died in 1855 in Starke County and is buried in the Sartzell Cemetery in same county.
I think John W Swartzel is the brother of Solomon Swartzel whom is also buried in Quasqueton Cemetery. They were both born in Montomery County, Ohio and are the sons of Henry Swartzley or Swartzel who was born in Bedford, Pennsylvania and moved to Montgomery County, Ohio.

Any info you have on John W Swartzel or John Swartzell 1790-1855 would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Margret Bond

I was asked to get this memorial back. See message:

Anne hi, you put on a Rebekah Schweitzer, then you transferred it to family finder. You need to get it back from them. The "Rebekah" refers to the organization, and not a person.
Thanks Cathy

Thank you.

RE: Lucinda E. Sherrets Swartzel
My sister and I went to Buchanan County, Iowa and spent a few days there doing research. My sister found the picture, It was on a large map of Buchanan County, Iowa that was hanging on the wall of the Buchanan County Iowa Genealogical Society. We also went to the Swartzel farm. The house is no longer there, but it was interesting to see and stand on the land that my great great grandparents lived and farmed on. Our family tree is Hoff/Swartzell it is open so that anyone can use the info and pictures we have. Thank You for the pictures.
