I picked up working on my genealogy where my mother left off. She had started working on our family's history in 1962, pouring over micro films at a nearby LDS church. Her many notebooks are full of handwritten records that I am working to record in a more permanent manner.
I also believe in trying to record the fading markers and headstones in many of the local cemetery's before they are lost from lack of care or are vandalized.
