Hi,
I am new to this site, and I really enjoy looking up the graves of my relatives and ancestors. It's so nice to be able to leave a flower or note even if it is "virtual." I spent a lot of time during my childhood looking for graves with my grandparents and parents. My family has always been very interested in genealogy. We even did gravestone rubbings. My most vivid memory is one when I was about seven. My grandparents befriended a man who owned a farm in the back hills of Pennsylvania. He seemed to know of a family graveyard that my grandmother was seeking. He took us up a very steep and hilly pasture in his pick up truck to the top. On the way up, the truck door flew open and I fell out! Fortunately I was not injured and we went on to find the grave of a very distant grandmother buried in a heavily wooded and overgrown area.

I would be happy to go to any area cemeteries in Northwest Indiana and post photos if someone is looking for a particular grave. I have already had one of my requests fulfilled and I am very appreciative. Update: So far I have tried to fulfill three requests and I am finding that there is no record of the people in the cemeteries that are listed for them. I've hit a dead end with all three so I hope I can have some success at some point!
