My husband and I are currently working on my family geneology. Many of my elder relatives have died, taking with them a tremendous amount of unknown and undocumented history. We have many regrets and have vowed to locate and document what we can now, before it's too late. We spend most of our free time in cemeteries or locating records (but also fit in camping and fishing trips). We are still fairly young, still working and have a young son, so we don't get as much time as we'd like to focus on these interests. An additional passion of ours is to reclaim our forgotten and neglected pioneer cemeteries, so we spend a lot of time re-erecting and/or locating headstones and cleaning cemeteries. We enjoy photographing cemeteries as a way to help others and to preserve this history for future generations.
