I was born and raised in a small town called Honesdale in Wayne County, PA. After high school graduation, I joined the Women's Army Corps. While stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, TX, I met and married my late husband, James Alton Meadows. He was from Leakesville, Greene County, MS. Most of his assignments were in Virginia and Washington, DC. He retired from the US Army in 1984 and we remained in Virginia. He died in 1992. I currently work part time as an accounting paraprofessional. I have been doing genealogy research for both of our families and anyone connected to them for about ten years now.
