Havila (Tunison) Frantz was the wife of Daniel Frantz. They had at least 7 children; Daniel D., George, Phillip P., Franklin, Addie M., Layfayette D. and another son whose name was Henry Ellsworth or A. Griffith Frantz.

Obituary was in the Adrian (Michigan) Daily Times courtesy of the Adrian Public Library, published Saturday, 28 May 1904.

"MRS. HAVILA FRANTZ. Mrs. Havila Frantz died May 22, at the home of her son, Lafayette, in Seneca township. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Spencer, of Morenci. Rev. N. E. Dennis officiated and the singing was by Mrs. Louise Stevenson and Mrs. Burke, with Lulu Starkweather as organist. The body was buried in the Morenci cemetery.
Havila Tunison was born May 12, 1825, in the town of Covert, N. Y., making her age 79 years and ten days. She was married to Daniel Frantz in 1840.
To them were born eight children, five of whom mourn the loss of a dear mother namely: Lafayette, of Seneca; and Ellsworth, also of Seneca; Frank, of South Rockwood, Mich.; Philip, of Adrian, Mich. and Mrs. H. H. Spencer. The husband and father died some twenty years ago. She embraced religion about 25 years ago. Her religion was one of the practical kind shown by good works and kind deeds. She lived for her children, whom she greatly loved. She suffered during the last years of her life from three different strokes of paralysis, under which affliction she was always patient. She was conscious until the end and sweetly and quietly fell asleep."

Original Death Record can be viewed at www.seekingmichigan.org - transcriber spelled her name: Hamlock Frantz.
I have a certified copy transcribed from the original obtained in 2007.

NOTE: My Gr. Gr. Grandmother.
There is a Ezra Cole Tunison buried in this cemetery - could be related (brother or cousin??).
I am researching the possibility of Havila being the second child of Phillip P. Tunison and Annis (Hall) Tunison - Information/research is from Michael Tunsion.
