NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Mrs. Helen N. Mulliken, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 17, 2009. She is now mounting up on wings as eagles, running without growing weary, and walking but not fainting, Isaiah. 40:31.
Helen faithfully served her Lord as a nurse for over fifty years. For over thirty years, she loved caring for people with the staff, doctors, and nurses at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, GA. They were always considered a part of her family.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 20, 2009, at 10:30 am at Curtis Baptist Church with Rev. Sherell Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park.
She was the wife of the late John Duncan Mulliken, Jr. Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey "Jeff" Mulliken and his wife, Salena, of Columbia, SC, Stanley "Stan" Mulliken and his wife, Lisa, of North Augusta, SC; three brothers, Charles Noffz, Wesley Noffz, and Robert Noffz all of Cross Hill, SC; two sisters, Margie McBurnett of Greenwood, SC and Ella Mae Senn of Silverstreet, SC; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, and John Mulliken. Her precious children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and friends await their own reunion with her at the Lord's call.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 19, 2009 from 5 to 7 PM.
