Patrick Gogerty (Gogarty) was one of 6 known children born to Mary (Riley) and James Gogerty. The family came from Irleand on the ship "Cultivator" arriving 5 Aug 1856.

Patrick married 29 May 1859 in NY, Mary Lavelle, daughter of Mary (Hunt) and Anthony Lavelle.

Patrick worked for the Rail Road and the family lived in Kansas, Colorado, and Montana. In later years Patrick and Mary lived with their daughters.
