Mrs. Frances Baker, 82, 412 Collett St. died at 3 a.m. Sunday en-route to St. Rita's Hospital. She had been visiting with her son, Joseph, 465 McPheron when she became suddenly ill and was being taken to the hospital when she succumbed.

She was born February 3, 1875 in Fort Wayne, Ind. and had been a resident of Lima for the past 68 years. She was united in marriage to Joseph Baker, who preceded her in death Sept. 18, 1938.

Surviving are a son, Joseph, 465 McPheron; two daughters, Mrs. George McGahan, 632 Ilata Ave.; Mrs. P. S. Mumma, 412 S. Collett; one brother, John Aubry, Moline, Ill.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the B&O Railroad Auxiliary.

The body will remain at the Lewis Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. E. J. Penhorwood of Southside Church of Christ officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
