Earl E. Carney
New Florence

Earl E. Carney, 80, of New Florence, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at home. Born Feb. 2, 1928, in Huff, he was the son of the late Ira E. and Mary E. Robinson Carney. He was a charter member of Mulligan Hill R.C. Club and had a deep love of family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Eck Carney; children, Neena Faltin and husband Robert, Blairsville, Robert and wife Nora, Douglas and wife Cathy, Jane Henderson and husband Hank, all of New Florence, and Christine Cochran and husband Bruce, Robinson; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Duane, New Florence.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.

Friends were received at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where services were held Thursday with the Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper officiating.

Interment was in Germany Lutheran Cemetery.

Military rites were held by a local veteran's organization.
