Otho was the son of Richmond Read and Miranda Sweet. For some reason he changed thespelling of his last name to Reade. He was a Methodist minister. He married Myra Eliza Warren on 14 October 1896 in LaGrange, Cook County, Illinois. He died in the hospital in Chicago on 30 March 1921 and was buried in the Lily Lake Cemetery on 2 April 1921. Otho and Myra had 7 children: Ralph Warren; Muriel Eliza; twins - Mary Miranda and Myra; Harold Otho; Ida Cornelia and Carol Frances.
