Miss Lucretia Arnold, living alone at 300 Marion ave. was found dead in her home about 6:30 oclock Thursday evening. She was lying on her bed, fully dressed. Death evidently had been caused by heart failure. Miss Arnold was found by two neighbors, Mrs. M. H.Whitley, who lives next door west and Mrs. J. B. Benefield. Mrs. Benefield came to the home of Mrs. Whitley and asked if anyone had seen Miss Arnold. Receiving a negative reply from Mrs. Whitley, the two women decided to go over and investigate. Upon entering Miss Arnolds home they found her in her bed dead. Mrs. Whitley said today that the last time she had seen Miss Arnold was at noon Thursday when she saw her at work about the house. She evidently had been dead several hours when found.
