Mrs. Carroll (Ruth) Klovstad, 71, Erhard, died Monday night at Lake Region Hospital. The funeral will be held at the Tonseth Lutheran Church Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew John officiating. Burial will be in the Maplewood Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Klovstad was born in Maplewood Township Nov. 26, 1905, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Bakken.
She was married to Carroll Klovstad in rural Pelican Rapids Nov. 25, 1928. They first farmed in Norwegian Grove Township and in Maplewood Township since 1932.
Surviving are her husband and five sons, Kenneth, Robert and Percy of Fergus Falls, Kermit and Wayne of Erhard. She also leaves 23 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother, Henry Bakken, Pelican Rapids, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Klovstad, Mound, and Mrs. Henry (Ida) Klovstad, Pelican Rapids.
