On Jan. 23, 1800 at New Lebanon, Columbia County, NY [Rev. War Pension affidavit of s. Rodney), Ichabod m. Lovina Hyde, b. betw. Mar. 26 and Oct. 25, 1779 at Derby, Conn. Unfortunately, her actual date of birth and parentage cannot be readily isolated. She d. Mar. 26, 1855 at Canaan, Conn. but cemetery records indicate she is buried at or near the location of her husband's grave apparently with no extant gravestone.
As stated by their son Rodney, Ichabod and Lovina had six children, but only four of the children have been identified, the other two positioned in the following summary by deduction:

Nov. 30, 1842 at Sheffield, Lorance Deming, s. of Elisha Harris Deming and Catherine Dutcher, b. July 14, 1806 at Green River, Columbia, NY. He d. Mar. 23, 1893 at North Canaan, Conn. (g.s.) One child of the family, dau. Julia L. (Deming) Schamerhorn of North Canaan.
• ii. Horace Lathrop West, b. circa 1804 at Pittsfield, Conn.; identified by his mother in 1853 as her eldest son b. at Pittsfield, but no further information has been uncovered about him.

• iv. Olivia Lavinia West, b. Mar. 23, 1808 at Sheffield, Mass., d. Nov. 19, 1895 (g.s.) and interred at Winsted, Conn.; m. Mar. 8, 1835 at Sheffield, Edward Greene, b. July 14, 1808 at Falls Village, being part of Canaan, Conn. He d. Apr. 26, 1898 and is interred at Winsted, Conn. (g.s.) Three identified children of the family.

Dec. 21, 1866 (g.s.); he declared he was the youngest of six children of his parents in his mother's 1853 widow's pension application; m. Lucretia A. ___, whose maiden name has not been found. She was b. circa 1821 and d. Dec. 9, 1899 at North Canaan, Conn. (g.s.) Two children of the family, but only one reached maturity to marry and unfortunately died childless.
