William DeLapp Dies Suddenly
Appeared In Usual Health Yesterday

William Minter DeLapp, 63 year old farmer of Ellettsville Route One, died suddenly at his home Friday at 5:30 p.m. Although he had been failing for some time, Mr. DeLapp had appeared to be in his usual health yesterday and was engaged in doing his evening chores when stricken. A physician was summoned, but Mr. DeLapp failed to rally and died a short time later.

Survivors include the wife, Ocea; two sons, Harold of Ellettsville and James of Indianapolis; one brother, Frank of Ellettsville; a sister, Mrs. Anna Jones of Indianapolis; a half brother Emmett Dunning of Ellettsville; and one granddaughter.

Born in this county on January 26, 1883 to Robert and Mary Ellen DeLapp, Mr. DeLapp had passed his entire lifetime here and was one of the community’s best known farmers. He was a member of the Christian church.

Funeral services will be held Monday at eleven o’clock at the Greene and Harrell chapel. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
