OPAL C. ROBBINS
Opal Cole Robbins, 76, died of heart failure Thursday, April 16, 1998, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was born Aug. 18, 1921, in Acton, Mont.
Mrs. Robbins worked in the Vancouver shipyards during World War II. She was a medical secretary for many years, then a bookkeeper and office manager in a collection agency for 20 years.
A Vancouver resident since 1942, she loved bridge and enjoyed gardening and golf. She was a longtime member of Royal Oaks Country Club where she served on the ladies board.
Mrs. Robbins was active in St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She was on the boards of Campfire Girls and United Funds and was a member of Soroptimist of Southwest Washington.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd J., of Vancouver; one daughter, Laurie Larson of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Helen Gallagher of Olympia; and one brother, Ray Cole of Seattle. A private service will be later.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
